I love using it with my Root Riders and Giant Gauntlet. Just being able to tank in the middle of the base (because of giant gauntlet),destroying every trash building and hard damaging the fat ones. Then the rest of the army faster focusing on the fat buildings and bringing them down faster because they are already damaged is just insane.
I use vampstache/rage with giant gauntlet, works pretty good for me . I'm not going to start over a new equipment epic or legendary for some balls anytime soon.

Vampstash and spikey hall work well when you are around townhall level 11-12. using E-drags works well if you know what to do using a certain siege machine.
Bro this ability saved my root rider attacks. I pair this with the fireball and it Obliterates any base its so good for air attacks because it gives him range

I use spiky ball in regular attacks. I personally use it to get three stars when the time is about to run out. It depends on what strategy one is using
Yeah I like mustache and gauntlet as well for max healing. I personally felt the rage vial was a tad bit better in the situations I was putting the king into but I wouldn’t argue with anyone who wanted to use the gauntlet instead.
Totally agree this will pair great with Vampstash. i feel it will work well with either Rage or Gauntlet, especially in a hero dive. Even the sarthquake boots could. But imagine King and RC charge with each throwing their projectiles, followed by Warden fireball and then zap quakes. Against those bases with defences all clubbed together, they could wreak serious havoc
Spiky ball is very good if you are using your king to funnel especially at th 12, 13, 14 Gautlet is good for taking out an entire compartment or leading the charge you can use both for a hero dive and the warden has rage gem
hi man, i didn't rly understand why the hp increase would be useless unless u have healing. can u pls explain it in detail im pretty slow. like is the extra hp not added when u spawn the hero but only when u go above its spawn health?
Haha I’m sure you’re not slow ❤️ I misunderstood it at first as well. HP recovery means the green bar goes up on the hero. HP increase means the green bar doesn’t go up at all. Just the black bar allowing for the green bar to potentially become higher than when the hero even started if they are healed up. HP increase does nothing if the hero is not healed to take advantage of it.
I don't know that it's 100% useless without healing, he basically can take a few more hits from the start of the attack, 3000 hp worth is a good amount, although it's much less impactful than other stat increases
@@ClashTipsPod, Hitpoints increase means Additional hit points. This is applicable from the outset (checked this on Clashipeadia). So it should not only be activated by a heal spell. So the spiky ball will make the King both stronger (hitpoints) and more powerful (DPS). In fact, this should make the spiky ball ideal for smash attacks as that ball can weaken high hit point buildings. Then whether paired with Rage Vial or Gauntlet, the King can then take out a large portion of the base and defences. I do wonder also if the Angry Jelly would make the Spiky Ball also only target defences. Probably not, but worth checking out.
I suppose though for those of us that have limited upgrade resources, spending precious resources to upgrade the spikey ball, only to replace gear weve already spent a lot of resources on is not going to be the most effective use of our resources?
Yeah no. I have purchased a few extra passes on my main but my multiple other accounts are languishing pretty far behind so I’m just focusing on what I have and maxing that out first before I touch anything like this.
From the opposite perspective, pathing will also be a reason to use it for some players. I can see Klaus now on his queen walk and whenever it looks like his queen is gonna go the wrong way he throws down his king with the spiky ball and knocks out 8 buildings which he had planned all along 😂

If you’d rather not spend gems on it later then yes grab it just to have it. For now, focus on 2 pieces for each hero and upgrade only those for whatever attacks you like using most. For me thats gauntlet/rage vial, healer puppet/invis vial, eternal tome/life gem, and Royal Gem/Hog puppet (which you won’t get til th14). Have fun with it! 🙂

Mmmmm that’s a tough decision. I’ve seen some amazing attacks with the fireball so I would search for those videos on RUclips and then decide if you wanna use those attacks or not I think. But still tough decision 🙂

I do gauntlet and Spiky ball. I am back after several years away, but I use to be a 6200-6300 legend league. I guess no one told me the metas, so I tried to figure it out. I like spiky ball for a few reasons. First, it gives the king range. Like, if you save Spiky Ball to the end, it will hit all its targets, no matter how far. I have used it to clean up the map, and it is funny to see the ball fly across the map. More often, I use it to weaken/clear the core. It can take out some key defenses on its own, like air defense or blowers. I have played with it to reach deep in the base to do that, and it is kinda awesome for that alone. That really isn't what I enjoy (air attacks), so I focus on traditional ground attacks that I enjoyed in my heyday. Even though it only weakens some defenses, it weakens them greatly. Inferno towers, in particular, rely on a duration of surviving to be effective, and they can be severely diminished before troops are in range. This means that single or multi won't have the same time to kill key offensive units. What I don't like about his analysis is that he only presents Rage+Gauntlet in a perfect scenario. If the king gets to the core with little damage, do you know what is useless? Adding a chunk of HP. How many of us have looked at our king and have known we need the damage, but we know the healing will be wasted. Second, that value is relying on the king being damaged, but it doesn't provide value for preventing damage. The splash damage is also mitigated by spacing. Again, I am not max, so I can only talk about my lower bases, but plenty of people copy+pasta spaced home bases that are designed to reduce the ability to rage bomb the middle. In the end, the ability to dictate a massive amount of damage to the center of the base in advance of my troops arriving we the key to me choosing Spiky Ball. I wanted to face a reduced and damaged core before my troops got there. I wanted to provide an element of range to a troop that otherwise lacked it. I am probably a year from playing max TH 16, so people can take that with a grain of salt. I just find the content on it unimaginative.

I also like the AOE portion of gauntlet. I value range with the King and the ability to project out. I think rage and gauntlet are great, but I try to plan on which has more use when things aren't perfect. In an ideal match, King is in the core with unfettered access to the buildings around him. In reality, traps and walls stop that. So, give me something that can counter those frustrating parts of the defense in regards to the king
Have you tested your claim about hp increase? The animation for the spiky ball shows the green bar as full, regardless of level. There are a few different ideas here: hp recovery is active and it fills up the portion of hp that has been lost. A max hp increase would increase the size of the bar without necessarily filling it. An hp increase would increase the size of the bar and fill it initially. You are saying it is a max hp increase, but how do you know this?

If you have the gems I would still look at purchasing them whenever they come into the shop. They won’t be massive game changers but they are useful in some situations.
I have saved many wars battles when I go to the center of a base clear it out and miss the builder huts at the corners. The spiky ball has best range. It will circle the base and hit any builder huts in the corners.
lol at the time I put out this video root riders had not been nerfed so sending the king into the base with the the gauntlet/rage vial. Eq boots/spiky ball wasn’t a valid option. As I said at the end metas do change so now definitely a very powerful option and actually one I’m using now on my 16.
@@nebology yeah at this point I would just use whatever you have upgraded most. All the pieces are very well balanced and only offer slight advantages in certain situations.
This maxed out takes out 9 targets…. Mixed with gauntlet,or earthquake, this is too OP honestly. Between this and the 3 other hero’s, you can literally 50% a base with just their abilities… and them taking little to no damage!! This is far from trash
@@ClashTipsPod if you can get the king to go up the middle with ball/earthquake it’s insane when maxed. Prob is my king no matter what I do (I’m at TH10) alwayyyyys goes around the outside of the entire base. Idk if I need to wait to send him out until more walls are broken, but it’s annoying because my abilities get wasted on all out of wall buildings constantly.
I’ve heard other players saying this is a good combo. I’ll have to see it and/or test it out to let you know what I think. That won’t be awhile though since my spiky ball won’t be max for several months.
during the event it was free, i think it´s the right way to make it only purchasable with gems. either get it in the event for free or pay for it. donˋt see the reason behind giving everyone epic equipment for free. gotta make some sacrifices to get epic equipment. thats my opinion

This is an excellent point and one that many should read. Maxing out the Vampstache and the rage vial for example is just fine and may be the best option for F2P tbh.
@@ClashTipsPod Definately I don't know why F2P always run behind Epic because most of the players are F2P and they are Th 12 and Th 13 according to COC official data.So its always better to go for Earthquake Boots,Rage Vial and Vampstache for king Queen- Invisibility and Healer Pupper Warden-Eternal Tome,Rage Gem and Healing Tome Royal Champion-Hog Puppet and Any After u get them done go for epic maturity is when F2P realise that they will take years to max the common first.
I was saving for the rocket spear but at the moment I will just invest in Spiky ball and Frozen arrow. I took it to level 19 and togheter with Vampstache seems pretty good but still not enough since to replace the Gauntlet+vampstache combo I need all the stats and dps I can squeeze from the Spiky balls. Great potentials but time will tell.
I will go with giant gialnt since i need ores. So i will buy ores and upgrade my aq. I don't know if I will regret it in the future, but I will take the risk and ofcource im will not buy the siken 🙂😶✅
I’m working on my fireball atm and I’ll have to decide what to work on next. Since I think the Vampstache/Spiky Ball combo would be best and that’s two piece I’d have to max out I may actually do something else in their place. I’ll see how I feel in a few weeks lol

Maxed gauntlet with maxed spikey ball is best combo for king. Highest dps. Many times the speed effect of rage vial is made useless by poison spell and TH poison. For most used attacks rr , valks, siege with root spell, king is in core at end. Ball destroys everything and gauntlet takes out TH and remaining. No one uses any other attack
I think it’s worth it to grab but not upgrade atm if you are th16. If you are lower than th16 and not using root riders then I would actually say this is better than any current king equipment. So just depends on where you are in the game.
lol I don’t think clash is trash. They did rush equipment a bit too quickly and they have needed to nerf root riders for awhile but overall I’m pretty happy with the game.
I personally love vamp. Keeps my king alive and the attack speed boost can def tank at the end and most of the time get back to full health. I think rage vial is decent but once ability is done it does nothing My player tag #Q2P2Q22

3000 hp is like living probably 5ish seconds longer into the attack. 98% useless 😂

Can you throw a few earthquake spells and bring the hp down and then throw the spiky ball and clean up. That might work

Spiky ball isn't worth using in place of rage vial because of pathing, it can funnel the king away from the core in some cases when I was testing it

@@davidlamas9236 yeah I think for any attack that paths the king into the core, the spiky ball will be a bad idea.
Walls are going to be more influential on the pathing at that point. Plus, the core is generally made of buildings that are not one shot.

What does hp increase mean? Is it like, he is gonna spawn right off the bat with +3k hp with the spikey ball?
HP increase gives him more room to be healed. It doesn’t increase the green bar but it allows the green bar above his head to be higher.
I think it will suck like fireball which I stopped upgrading at level 17

Consider using both giant and ball, you get the best of both worlds, only downside is the king is left running srounr

@@nebology yeah at this point I would just use whatever you have upgraded most. All the pieces are very well balanced and only offer slight advantages in certain situations.

This maxed out takes out 9 targets…. Mixed with gauntlet,or earthquake, this is too OP honestly. Between this and the 3 other hero’s, you can literally 50% a base with just their abilities… and them taking little to no damage!! This is far from trash
It is OP in some situations. I still think the gauntlet/rage vial is better in smash situations.
@@ClashTipsPod if you can get the king to go up the middle with ball/earthquake it’s insane when maxed. Prob is my king no matter what I do (I’m at TH10) alwayyyyys goes around the outside of the entire base. Idk if I need to wait to send him out until more walls are broken, but it’s annoying because my abilities get wasted on all out of wall buildings constantly.

I’ve heard other players saying this is a good combo. I’ll have to see it and/or test it out to let you know what I think. That won’t be awhile though since my spiky ball won’t be max for several months.

during the event it was free, i think it´s the right way to make it only purchasable with gems. either get it in the event for free or pay for it. donˋt see the reason behind giving everyone epic equipment for free. gotta make some sacrifices to get epic equipment. thats my opinion

For F2P players..maturity is when you realise common equipment is worth upgrading rather than epic bcz we will lack ores .
This is an excellent point and one that many should read. Maxing out the Vampstache and the rage vial for example is just fine and may be the best option for F2P tbh.
@@ClashTipsPod Definately I don't know why F2P always run behind Epic because most of the players are F2P and they are Th 12 and Th 13 according to COC official data.So its always better to go for Earthquake Boots,Rage Vial and Vampstache for king

I was saving for the rocket spear but at the moment I will just invest in Spiky ball and Frozen arrow. I took it to level 19 and togheter with Vampstache seems pretty good but still not enough since to replace the Gauntlet+vampstache combo I need all the stats and dps I can squeeze from the Spiky balls. Great potentials but time will tell.

in my opinion this spiky ball is overpower for take down clan castle with one straight shoot but need good aim and stratergy also :)

I’m working on my fireball atm and I’ll have to decide what to work on next. Since I think the Vampstache/Spiky Ball combo would be best and that’s two piece I’d have to max out I may actually do something else in their place. I’ll see how I feel in a few weeks lol

Maxed gauntlet with maxed spikey ball is best combo for king. Highest dps. Many times the speed effect of rage vial is made useless by poison spell and TH poison. For most used attacks rr , valks, siege with root spell, king is in core at end. Ball destroys everything and gauntlet takes out TH and remaining. No one uses any other attack
Maybe…the one thing I didn’t point out was the additional dps so this could be the case for sure.
So it’s not worth it
I think it’s worth it to grab but not upgrade atm if you are th16. If you are lower than th16 and not using root riders then I would actually say this is better than any current king equipment. So just depends on where you are in the game.

lol I don’t think clash is trash. They did rush equipment a bit too quickly and they have needed to nerf root riders for awhile but overall I’m pretty happy with the game.
I personally love vamp. Keeps my king alive and the attack speed boost can def tank at the end and most of the time get back to full health. I think rage vial is decent but once ability is done it does nothing
