    Thank you very much. I'm going to relearn this. I remember having the tabs years ago and my forearm wasn't quite in-shape yet...killed my wrist and fingers. I'm up to it now.

    Include me among those who like the rustic effect and preview at the start. Some of the great songs you choose have been overlooked by myself for decades, and its nice to have my memory refreshed within the first few seconds of the video.

    Dave, we do dig it, both the song and your impeccable tutorial. Like you said up front, over my "pay grade" as a arthritic and brain challenged old guitar hack, but just really enjoyable to hear chord voicing on the guitar to match the keys/horns in the original recording. How in the world did a group of 4 young guys back in the 70's write such a sophisticated pop melody with such luxurious and complex chord patterns? I mean were they into music or what? Great song indeed. You link up these guys with Player and Gary Pack? and maybe Pablo Cruise, and now you got something.....lol...there goes my innocent days as a poor, guitar junkie youth. Seriously, if you haven't performed same already, how about twisting Emily's arm into singing lead on this tune on one of your late night streaming sessions? I admire anyone who can process and replicate all these quick chord changes and intricate voicing. Rock on, Dave.

      @@DavesGuitarChannel Yep, right you are. Didn't realize when I wrote the comment that Ambrosia was his band .....lol. It's kind of fuzzy in the rear view time machine mirror. Again, excellent transcription....your chord voicings are impeccable, and you've got the rhythm and cadence so beautifully in your right arm/hand. Wished I would have had you as a guitar instructor many years ago. Keep on, keeping on, Dave.

      @@DavesGuitarChannel I should have asked this previously. Is there any way I can pay for a tabbed out version of all guitar chords used? It is a lot to swallow and while I realize I can go back and repeat and slow down the video until I am blue in the face, it's a bit much to construct and commit to memory, because of all the quick chord changes, and obviously, all the "classy" chord signatures..... I'd like to try and capture the beauty/authenticity of those chord voicings, but too many complex chords.

    Great lesson, way above my skill set though. Joe Puerta does a live version of You're the Only Woman with the J. Michaels Band that I would like you to look over and consider a lesson.
    I appreciate all the time and effort you put into these lessons. I may be alone here but what would be helpful to me is if you could play the song in intirety and then the lesson, that way I have something to play along with. I'm a see one, do one, teach one kind of person. Thanks

    • @DavesGuitarChannel
      @DavesGuitarChannel  2 года назад

      If I play it through, then they consider it a performance and ding me for it. So the little money You Tube gives me for having this channel disappears. That's why i break up the song in the lesson with all the parts. I am sure it would be more helpful.... I'm sure you understand. It's not like there is a line to put money in my virtual tip jar.

    Dave really enjoy your lessons, learning so much from you. I like how you hardly use bar chords. Can you recommend anything that I might study to help understand and develop this kind of chord development in my playing? Thank you.

      I use barre chords when I play electric. I don't think the acoustic sounds nice with barre chords. Check out some of my theory lessons on here on chord building etc. and thanks.

    Many of your lessons are above my paygrade. Mostly because you use chords that are not yet in my vocabulary yet. But i still try
