You actually can get the Konami code to work on this. You put in the code as soon as the game starts and the flaming c on the logo is on screen. Then you'll hear a chime and there will be a thing for purchase in the perk shop for 7500 credits that will let you set the player stock to 30 lives.

They absolutely have to play Hard Corps: Uprising. It's basically just extra weeby, extra hype Contra. Dan would love the classic gameplay and Arin can play Sayuri right from level 1.

"is there a dash or something?" I'm just waiting for them to hit other buttons on the controller and learn they have a dash, can change weapons, and even call in weapon pods.... (Dan hasn't switched weapons the entire game so far) Also can't wait till they discover perks.
I am spending most of the video begging them to realize the dash button is a thing. Like they gave them a whole cutscene to realize that's Ariana's whole deal.
The fact they got this game early is clear that this playthrough is a promotion, possibly even sponsored. But they normally only play for one episode if that's the case. So the fact that they're continuing to play this game for multiple episodes because they're just having so much fun with it is an excellent endorsement for any game.

I feel Arin missed out on a chance to joke about serving 'C' as Ariana. 'Also missed out on what her level 2 version does. I take it each character save for the Big Boiz modify one of the basic weapons in some way.
