Large-Scale Fire Test of Storage Rack System at UL Facility

This large-scale testing of a storage rack fire at the UL research facility in Northbrook, IL, was presented to attendees of the 2013 NFPA Conference & Expo®. It was designed to test protection solutions for exposed and expanded plastic commodities in a rack storage system. Research findings were considered in the NFPA 13 cycle that year. Additional coverage from the testing was featured in the March/April 2013 issue of NFPA Journal®.
