Sasuke only left because he needed power and he saw that Orochimaru could give him that power. He had the curse mark. Sasuke hadn't really any reason to leave but then Orochimaru came and showed him what power he could obtain in order to kill Itachi.
Given how much Sasuke suffered in his entire life, it warms my heart so much to see he finally found a place in the world next to the person who always loved him unconditionally and gave him a place to call home. He is truly blessed to be with Sarada and Sakura.
