This is really unfortunate. I was attracted to the low profile and K3 at first but the proprietary connector totally blew it. I ended up getting the K6. Wrist rest is a must but it is highly customizable which is great.
I also have the matcha keycap set on my k3. What I did to make it somewhat look better is take out all the keys that use dark green (tab, caps, ctrl, etc), and use regular k3 caps so it somewhat looks uniform. Definitely not a good long term solution, but better than nothing if I want to spice it up.
Yeah. That works. I took mine off now because I was tired of the lower backspace key. Now, they are back to the originals. Gotta get another keyboard to try out different keycaps
Haven’t looked into all the keys for the akko v3 75, but looking at some pictures, I’d say they would. The keycaps are pretty default. It is the keychron low profile keyboards that have this strange offset on theirs :)
i had the k3 low profile for a while and i thought i could put normal profile keycaps on it but i couldnt.. so i bought another keychron and now i can put the keycaps i want on them!! i really like the v1
Years later but just an idea. 3D print tiny adapters that offset the stabilizer stems to center like a birmal keycap. Probably have to add a tiny adapter without offset for the switch so they are the same height.and those keys probably would be a tiny bit higher, but it should be doable with a cheap plastic adapter.
You may be able to mod the key caps so they will fit on the stabilizers using a nail clipper or something and glue. That way there in the right position. You might get a bit of wobble but at least the space bar will be flat. As for the other keys you could make it they only connect at the switch again you may have wobble but you'll have a nice looking board. Great video by the way.
Thanks. I feel modding it that much would just ruin the set. I think I’ll leave this one as it is and get another board :) a high profile one so I have more room to play ;)
Hello did you find some translucent key-caps compatible to this keyboard (K3 Pro) ? If Yes, where can I buy it? Thank you very much . Keep the very good work
I have not found any translucent keycaps, no. Haven't been looking too hard. I did get the pro keycaps and added them to the non-pro K7 I have. They work well as well. It does change the feel of the keyboard and I haven't decided if it is for the better just yet ;)
Do you know any keycaps that fit well in K3? I`m thinking in mod my keyboard too, I really like the k3 but not the low keycaps. Hope someday someone releases keycaps to our little keyboard.
@@MartinAaberge i just saw another video uploaded a month ago, someone modified the keycaps instead. i probably do not need so many keyboards, so i’ll give it a shot 😂
Yeah. I think I’m done with low profile for now. I have this, and the magic keyboards. Next on my list is the PLANCK and I’m also building another 65% keyboard
Can you replace the stabilisers? Are they a standard size? I am going to buy this board (there are no real low profile mac alternatives out there I could find, I have a K1already..) and try and figure out a solution to this non compatibility issue.. Love the quality of your video, its impressive to see a new channel at this quality :)
I don’t know if you can replace them. They will at least not work out of the box. I think I have saw some videos where you could get them modded to fit normal keys. Thank you for your kind words on the content.
@@MartinAaberge I just ordered one, I have a plan on how to mod the stabiliser locations to line them up... Replacing is not so easy as they are not standard size on first look but I will try that too...
@@MartinAaberge well, taking it apart was pretty easy, the Dremel tip filed away the casing on the stabilisers really well. The smaller keys are perfect but the spacebar is a bit wobbly, in use it's not a issue but it does have some lateral movement. I do think I can fix it but when I went to open it up again the back plate feels jammed - I don't want to risk damage to fix a small issue. I built one in the meantime, KBDfans low profile case with Tangerine switches, pretty low but I do prefer the height of the Keychron
Hi Mario :) the desk mat is from DeltaHub and is hot pressed wool :) love it. Here is an affiliate link where you can pick it up: deltahub.io/?ref=MartinAaberge (If you use the link I’ll earn a small commission at no extra cost to you :))
It's not even just keychron's dumbass mistake, its literally so many other companies doing this same shit. I have no idea why keyboard companies dont make compatible sets.... so frustrating.
the amount of time and effort you put into such high quality videos is so underrated. love to see you grow on the platform brother.
Thank you Marlon. I do my best to focus on quality and hope people enjoy the content :)

I would also like to be able to use these switches, but so far it’s a weird hybrid 😂 I’ll get a couple of other ones and see how that feels as well.

can these keycaps fit redragon K617 fizz ?? pls ans, ty
you can try to print with a 3d printer a adapter
I’ve actually considered it 😂

Absolutely. From their website, it doesn’t look like many caps fit. I’m going to keep looking, but I will also look for other keyboards where it fits
I really should have watched your video before getting the K3 and the exact same keycaps. they look really lovely, don’t they?
Hi Ync. I love the look of these, yeah. Shame they don’t work on the k3. I’m getting another keyboard as well that is a bit more common

will this work with the rk61
I Think they will. Most keyboards are laid out with normal stabs. The K3 and K7 have some custom ones ruining this setup :/
my keyword looks exactly the same but my key caps are pink. It’s beautiful to look but deep down I’m soooo sad that I can’t use the full set.

can these fit well with the rk84? thanks a lot!
from what I can see online, I think they will. The stabilizer seems to be placed normally
why did they do that to those 4 keys
don’t know what they were thinking. It sure sucks

if only they were OEM
Full size keycaps in low profile keyboard… interesting…
Yeah, it was fun to try. Now, I’m building a normal 65% to try it out properly :D
that's terrible lol
Yeah, I wish the stabs weren't custom. Then again, using high profile caps on a low profile keyboard might be a bit of a stretch.
