    This is really unfortunate. I was attracted to the low profile and K3 at first but the proprietary connector totally blew it. I ended up getting the K6. Wrist rest is a must but it is highly customizable which is great.

      I would also like to be able to use these switches, but so far it’s a weird hybrid 😂 I’ll get a couple of other ones and see how that feels as well.

    I also have the matcha keycap set on my k3. What I did to make it somewhat look better is take out all the keys that use dark green (tab, caps, ctrl, etc), and use regular k3 caps so it somewhat looks uniform. Definitely not a good long term solution, but better than nothing if I want to spice it up.

      Yeah. That works. I took mine off now because I was tired of the lower backspace key. Now, they are back to the originals. Gotta get another keyboard to try out different keycaps

    Will it work on a Akko v3 %75?

    • @MartinAaberge
      @MartinAaberge  Год назад +1

      Haven’t looked into all the keys for the akko v3 75, but looking at some pictures, I’d say they would. The keycaps are pretty default. It is the keychron low profile keyboards that have this strange offset on theirs :)

    i had the k3 low profile for a while and i thought i could put normal profile keycaps on it but i couldnt..
    so i bought another keychron and now i can put the keycaps i want on them!! i really like the v1

    Years later but just an idea. 3D print tiny adapters that offset the stabilizer stems to center like a birmal keycap. Probably have to add a tiny adapter without offset for the switch so they are the same height.and those keys probably would be a tiny bit higher, but it should be doable with a cheap plastic adapter.

    you can try to print with a 3d printer a adapter

    You may be able to mod the key caps so they will fit on the stabilizers using a nail clipper or something and glue. That way there in the right position. You might get a bit of wobble but at least the space bar will be flat. As for the other keys you could make it they only connect at the switch again you may have wobble but you'll have a nice looking board. Great video by the way.

    • @MartinAaberge
      @MartinAaberge  3 года назад

      Thanks. I feel modding it that much would just ruin the set. I think I’ll leave this one as it is and get another board :) a high profile one so I have more room to play ;)

    Hello did you find some translucent key-caps compatible to this keyboard (K3 Pro) ? If Yes, where can I buy it? Thank you very much . Keep the very good work

    • @MartinAaberge
      @MartinAaberge  Год назад +1

      I have not found any translucent keycaps, no. Haven't been looking too hard. I did get the pro keycaps and added them to the non-pro K7 I have. They work well as well. It does change the feel of the keyboard and I haven't decided if it is for the better just yet ;)

    Hope someday someone releases keycaps to our little keyboard.

    Can you replace the stabilisers? Are they a standard size? I am going to buy this board (there are no real low profile mac alternatives out there I could find, I have a K1already..) and try and figure out a solution to this non compatibility issue.. Love the quality of your video, its impressive to see a new channel at this quality :)

    • @MartinAaberge
      @MartinAaberge  3 года назад +1

      I don’t know if you can replace them. They will at least not work out of the box. I think I have saw some videos where you could get them modded to fit normal keys. Thank you for your kind words on the content.

    • @muktadirkhan1981
      @muktadirkhan1981 3 года назад +1

      @@MartinAaberge well, taking it apart was pretty easy, the Dremel tip filed away the casing on the stabilisers really well. The smaller keys are perfect but the spacebar is a bit wobbly, in use it's not a issue but it does have some lateral movement. I do think I can fix it but when I went to open it up again the back plate feels jammed - I don't want to risk damage to fix a small issue. I built one in the meantime, KBDfans low profile case with Tangerine switches, pretty low but I do prefer the height of the Keychron
