I just wonder why you say that this water shouldn't be drank? Is it really unsafe after having passed through charcoal that is even capable of removing chlorine and fluoride? Would you drink this cup of water after it sits in the sun for 6 hours for UV filtration?
Yes, this water is still unsafe for drinking. Charcoal powder only removes the majorly the chemical contaminants (negative compounds). Besides, the pours in charcoal are too large to trap most microbial contaminants like bacteria, viruses, etc. This is where boiling or UV light purification would be needed. And yes, I believe exposing this filtered water to UV sunlight would damage those microbial contaminants...this is particularly very possible in our countries where there more hours of sunlight.
Thank you compiling this. This can easily be done at home
They should air this on tv it's educational and easily understandable by kids
Thank You brother. Keep up The Great Work. - ALL ARE ONE
I have ever experimented this and it worked though I didn't use cotton. Thank you for this demonstration of water filtration.
Smaller pebbles work best and I use a 2 lt. bottle. People really should learn this. Thank you.
