Theres a German shepherd that someone owns at Bethesda could be a reference it's also the dog they used to model and make the sounds for dogmeat in fallout 4 but the Bethesda dog is a female so weird I guess

I wonder if the Surgeon came from Vault 101 originally? We know from the Overseer's terminal that some people have left despite that they say, and Moira mentioned people escaping. Also in the very beginning of the game when you're an infant you have a memory flash about the Overseer talking to James saying they need a doctor. Perhaps the old vault doctor snuck out, or left on a mission for the Overseer and never returned? And then set up his mad science lab in a nearby factory? It's also possible that he didn't come from a vault at all, but he raided some of the open ones for their tech and that's where he got the lab coat.
It's possible, even likely that whoever Ledoux's buyer was was someone outside the Capital Wasteland. I believe after this quest they walk off and disappear from the game, so it makes sense. It's probably some wealthy pre-war collector of Nuka Cola merchandise like Sierra who heard about the existence of the formula an hired Ledoux and his gang to go to DC and retrieve it.
This is a GREAT theory!

Knowing the Pre-War companies of Fallout, I'm surprised you didn't find a terminal talking about how they used some kind of radioactive materials to make the the tricycles cheaper to manufacture, or were sacrificing civilians and using their blood to make the shiny red paint because some Eldritch God kept whispering in the Factory Foreman's head...

I've been down with the Fallout-series since the first game 20 years & change ago(damn that makes me feel old) but I never really watched videos of the lore before finding your channel Oxhorn. What if Un Qualtoth is Atom? Since Un Qualtoth seems very real in the Fallout universe, and "speaks" to people who have been turned ghoul, maybe giving them visions like Atom does.
Clouded Skies maybe? Even the swampfolk are mutated because of the radiations too so it could be possible
Clouded Skies Atom isn't an entity. The Children of Atom don't understand what an atom actually is. Besides, Un Qualtoth is all about ghouls and the Children who worship Atom and hear his "voice" are actually immune to becoming ghouls.
There's also the fact that the Children of Atom don't do human sacrifices. If I remember right (and I could be way off), the Church of Atom was concocted by The Master, the big baddie of the original Fallout.
TheBlues32 Actually they do sacrifices, the lighthouse you get as a settlement in Fallout 4 is occupied by CoA, and they have terminals that say they feed anyone who doesnt believe in Atom to the glowing ghoul in the lighthouse cage.

I have always thought the surgeon as a member of the cult that owned the dunwich building before the war, something that could explain the chanting might be coming from one of the group's artifacts (made from the same rock as the obelisk).
I never went to the red tricycle factory, never even heard of it. Now, I kinda wanna play Fallout 3 again to find every location I missed.
As a father who travels for a living hearing your daughter sing her ABCs melted me. Destroyed me. Brought me to my knees. My little girl is my everything. Life or death with or without her wouldn't be worth it. Not a day on the road goes by I don't set aside 20 minutes to video call her. Thank you for sharing that small father moment with us all.

I've got an inkling that the person who wanted that formula was none other than Sierra Petrovita, or the creepy dude.
It would be just like Ronald to ask raiders to go and get the formula so that he can sleep with Sierra (he already had enough caps to get you to go get the Nuka Cola Quantum, so why not the clear formula also?) and it would not surprise me if Sierra was naive enough that she would just outright ask them to get it and be none the wiser that they're raiders.
This is just speculation, a theory I guess.
Ronald could have asked the remnants of the raiders who originally attacked him and Sierra to collect the clear formula.
He was looking for any way to get into Sierra's pants so him sparing raiders and putting a price on the formula to get a chance at sleeping with her wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.
But the reason she doesn't react to it is that she doesn't know that he's asked the raiders to collect it, or maybe that it even exists (she never even acknowledges that it exists at all, likely because it was never even created and shipped, or appeared on shelves).
Coincidentally, Sierra sends you to go to the same location to get Nuka Cola Quantum manifests to collect Nuka Cola Quantum, not willing to pass up a chance, Ronald hedges his bets on either those guys collecting the formula for him, or you collecting the Quantum, either way he gets to sleep with Sierra (or so he thinks).
When you eventually collected all the drinks he hedges his bet on those and since he hasn't heard of the raiders in a while, assumes they've died to try to collect it (basically gives up on it).
This is my explanation as to why neither Ronald or Sierra say anything about Nuka Cola Clear;
1 - Sierra doesn't know it exists and so isn't interested (or doesn't view it as real Nuka Cola, like people didn't like New Coke/Pepsi Clear).
2 - Ronald doesn't expect you to have it and so assumes that you have nothing to do with its collection being successful. Because of this, he doesn't bother asking or checking you for it.
On top of that, you've already collected all the Nuka Cola Quantum, and so have no reason to ask about Nuka Cola Clear because he already has what he thinks he needs to get into Sierra's pants, or he completely forgets about Nuka Cola Clear because he has what he thinks he needs to get into her pants (his creepy, creepy lust blocking his vision of other offers he's put out before).
3 - Ronald is dead because he died to a death claw and couldn't ever ask you whether you found Nuka Clear at the location where you found the manifests.
I'm tired so, sorry if that doesn't make any sense.
All good options, it could also be some other Nuka-Cola fanatic not in D.C who heard of it some how (maybe from documents/terminals in a regional or the primary headquarters) and had the money to hire some wierdos to go get it.
You should do a video on Springvale School, one of the most, if not the most disturbing place in Fallout history...

What’s so disturbing about it? It’s just a school where raiders are hold up who also get attacked by giant ants when they try digging their way into vault 101.

I've always wondered if the interiors of these buildings actually fit in the building that they are said to be in, rather than being in their own plain of existence like some other games.
Idk for sure, but i know Bugthesda didn't care about matching up layouts in any of the Elderscrolls, F:4, or F:76, so I doubt they gave most or any of the ones in F:3 much attention.

The building can become glitched. This is usually after attempting to drag a corpse. After dragging one, a dragging noise can be heard while the player is walking.
The corpses may randomly "explode", losing body parts, and a sound of a mine being triggered can be heard.
The ending of this video cured my depression. Your daughter is freaking adorable Ox!

I knew if I watched long enough you would find something I hadn't. That's why I love fallout. Dozens of plays and damned if I never met the surgeon. Met ledeux and explored that factory, but never saw this. Outstanding!
It's crazy that anytime between when you go into the factory and when the bombs dropped that so much could have happened just like that surgeon doing his experiments

Last night i was playing my new character and i was doing the arcjet quest for danse's gun and i noticed one of the synths say "fellow synth detected" it was very brief but it was right when danse ran in have you ever noticed this? love you lots
