I always love when people react to Amaranthe! My first vid I saw was while I was searching for Nightwish "Amaranth" vid and this band popped up with their video Hunger I loved it so much I searched out all their stuff.

Amaranthe is a trip that was a good starting point, they now are matured and only Elyse remains but they are their own lane of metal.

Hey! Great reaction! Here's new sub for more Amaranthe 🤘 both vocal guys are no longer in the band, there are new ones and the band still rocks hard! I would like to recommend some of the newer songs from them, for example: Outher Dimensions, Viral (from Corona era), Damnation Flame, Achangel, Do or Die, Crystaline, 82'nd All The Way (Sabaton Cover), Dream, etc...
And one other band I think you will like, Ad Infinitum 🤩 for your first time it could be songs: Unstoppable, Eternal Rains, Somewhere Better or Upside Down.. with them you can't fail with picking any of the songs..

Amaranthe was opening band for Sabaton on their Great Tour in Europe 2020. They performed together with the cover "82nd all the way" in Oslo, Norway. I was in that crowd.🤘😉

It's not easy to fit all three singers into one song at the same time. In other songs it's not as equal and then it works better.
Amaranthe was founded in 2008 by guitarist Olof Mörck and male vocalist Jake E. Lundberg. Both male singers have since been replaced.
Olof had promoted the female singer Elize Ryd behind her back to Nightwish in 2006 as the successor to the first singer. Since she was afraid of going to the finals, he promised to take her into his yet-to-be-formed band. Nightwish rejected her because of her inexperience, as she had only worked as a guest singer and had not yet completed her musical studies. In 2012 she became a Nightwish singer for one night. She was on the Nightwish tour as Kamelot's season singer and stood in for the sick Anette, who Nightwish had hired instead of her at the audition. After the next concert with Anette, the band and Anette fall out and spontaneously split up. Again the band doesn't want to hire her and instead they bring in Floor Jansen, who you already know from other videos. The following year, Amaranthe had their breakthrough with Nexus. Elize is one of the most famous metal singers today and has worked with many bands.

Most bands that are adjacent to this genre (gothic symphonic metal) generally have two vocalists. Which Amaranthe shares here with the female clean vocal contrasted with the harsh male vocals. I’m not sure but I think the bad Leaves’ Eyes or Theatre of Tragedy might have pioneered the style

First of all: Your earrings are quite something!
I believe during the chorus only the 2 clean singers are singing. Really good reaction. I personally don't mind repetition as much for such short songs.
Another Band that has 3 singers (albeit all clean) is Temperance. Check out their song: My Demons Can't Sleep.

'I like his voice a little less" .... I absolutely agree, Jake E. - the first singer he replaced - was a way better fit imho. Just listen to early tracks like "Hunger" or "Amaranthine" :D
