i know it makes sense since this region is far from Skalitz and people in Trosky either know very little about it (basically that it was raided by Sigismund and thats it) or nothing at all, but i really wish there were more ways to represent Skalitz and by extention Lord Radzig. hoping they add some options for you to forge Skalitz themed armor and shields in the blacksmith dlc.
The metal boss of the round shield is very strong. Pavises are supposed to be very large to deploy in front of you, usually used by crossbowmen. Not optimised for melee. I also assume the defence stat is not how much it covers. It's how strong the shield is if it gets hit.
I can't believe KCD2 added cosmetic skins for a shield, A SHIELD like some cod bs after all the controversy they've been getting... wdym they're historical ????
@@HasselPholen Google "Kalkan" shield, this is a typical shield for the eastern set of horseman's weapons, Ottomans, Cumans, Tatars etc. Here in the game it is too big to simply fit into a simplified uniform shield size, the developers did not invest in such subtleties as the different sizes of medieval shields.
Hmm some of the heraldry is not matching to the name of the shield, for egsample, I see heraldry of Vítkov family Vítkovci, later known as Róžmberkové - von Rosenberg... and its called of Hradetz/Hradec? Odd... Im glad I see shield of unique czech military order: Crusaders with red star, founded in 1250 by St. Agnes of Bohemia - Svatá Anežka Česká, sister to king Václav I. - Wenceslaus the Ist. But Im a bit sad there is no actual Czech lion shield... :-( .

There’s a skalitz caparison and some hoods with the red and gold colours and some coats but yeah no clothing with the livery
Yeah would be nice, I almost always choose the Skalitz colors for my outfit, especially with armor
I fuckin love pavise shields !!!!!
(Imagine screaming SpongeBob meme).
This is…. An incredibly relaxing video
I can imagine you probably already have this on your list of videos to make. But could you make a video with the different kinds of helmets?
Yes i want this too pls
Armours?
Can you do combo next
A circular shield has more defence than a pavise ? Wot ?
circular shields could have been metal reinforced, while pavises in the game were not.

Considering that the Cumans didn't actually use shields, they have quite a nice collection.
Wait, historically or ingame?
@@HasselPholen Historically
@@CsatadiThey did use shields historically though...
@@Csatadilook at the manuscripts and you will see circular wooden shields
