Awesome! Pretty cool youre on the same department as the inventor...I'll buy one as soon as I learn to stop forgetting my wooden ones at fires lol..Stay safe brother
Good piece. We do have wedges made of wood (beech) to lock the doors of the Halligan Tool or pressed others to ASI. Personally, I would have bought a couple.
What might be another nice feature to add is some sort of flasher. That way, the device can be used to mark doors and/or exit points, or the firefighters themselves, and can also be somewhat visible through smoke. Preferably it would have some sort of recognizable flashing pattern. But, I'm not sure how practical that might be given current technology, because you might not be able to fit a powerful enough battery inside. That really depends on how long you want it to operate for, and how bright it should be. (Plus, you'll probably want it to be rechargeable. But another consideration is the battery design itself. A regular lithium ion or lithium polymer battery might not be suitable for the impact forces that it may receive - don't want this device to start fires!!! XDDD) Oh, and it might reduce the possible uses of the device - such as for turning off gas service, etc...
I like to use Cherry Bombers, Nails is Fat Ivan’s as a door chalk. But for entry the wedge is to go, not a big fan of it as a chalk but rather to supplement my axe so I don’t kill anyone or go through a floor on an inward swinging.
А если поставить металлический тросик вместо паракорда, то можно будет делать в дверях и окнах точку для страховочной верёвки при экстренной эвакуации.
Thanks for the video time I complete missed that and struggle showing guys how it works. They all laugh when I can't get them on the clips it's hard to demonstrate.
Thanks for the information by the way, some firefighters in Spain have developed a self rescue system, you leave a link to it if you would take a look and you think you comment me. Good luck mate.
Isn't it cheating just a little bit to put in the vise the other way around? Also you have the wood one in about 1 inch. Where as the other one was in much further.
Got these 6 years ago and still have them, they’re awesome, best wedges out there
Got mine in the mail yesterday and used them the next day on a job. Worked perfectly!!

Great idea. We would like to get a copy of this video in HD for our Digital Signage screens.
Do you put the cord on the ones on your lid. If so how does it hold up to heat.
Do you know if they are difficult to remove without the cord?
great solutions ;)
Having trouble getting these, any suggestions?
