Oh, and here's a treat for you: Someone decided to go full "snitch mode" on LBC Radio this morning, whining about “this chap who wanders around London causing a nuisance with his drone-oh, but he always tells people first before flying it.” I nearly fell off my chair laughing-clearly you were the culprit in question. The poor guy didn’t quite grasp the subtle art of being both responsible and law-abiding. What a tragic misunderstanding of due diligence. And then there’s our star of the show-the uniformed ego on legs. You know the type: a badge polished to a blinding shine, uniform puffed up to bursting, and a sense of authority so fragile it shatters at the slightest disturbance. It’s almost impressive how quickly they lose the plot over, well, minor inconveniences. But I take great comfort in knowing our dear friend was swiftly deposited behind the gate and instructed to simmer down in his proverbial cage. A well-deserved timeout for someone clearly in need of a lesson on power, humility, and just chilling out.

Those guards you are talking to are ex military who have served our country. They are protecting the home of the Chelsea pensioners and are entitled to a little respect. You done the right thing telling him what you was going to do but then you should have moved away from them and flown from there. Telling the soldier on many occasions to get back to work was mocking him and abusing his calm temperament. The common theme is organisations/buildings hiding under a nearby restriction that is nothing to do with them. They have no idea that if you make the right requests, you can make a flight in these areas.
The history of The Royal Hospital Chelsea is fascinating and it's a shame we can't offer our veterans today the same care and compassion as they did in 1693!! Proud to say I qualify to apply to be a " Chelsea pensioner" but I am lucky my circumstances mean, hopefully I won't need to.
