But he always had someone to fight. There's a handful of people that were on his level or above. Shanks, Whitebeard (before be died), the Admirals, Blackbeard, Rayleigh, & maybe Hawkeye. If he didn't want to go through the trouble of finding them, that's his fault.
I always loved how real kaido is about things., He isnt one of those stupid stubborn apes who doesnt believe his opponent could be strong, he acknowledges it, and gives respect where its due. He sees that straw hat went from loser too big for his britches who couldnt even make him feel a hit or take even a single shot, to being able to make him bleed, and fast enough to (mostly) dodge the same attack that stomped him flat last time. This is some ichigo/kuchki vibe here. He is still a brat too big for his britches, but at least now he has taken a step onto a stage where he might be more than that to kaido. Of course, he STILL isnt yonko level. But at least he is putting his foot in that pool.

It was also the first fight they (the main crew) could not and would not run from the fight. Plus rob told him straight up “imma kill your friends once I beat you”. It’s not a idle threat he’s a professional assassin with marine backing. Losing here is not an option. and then luffy won. After: they quite literally haven’t backed down since. Whether they are instigating fights or just dragged into situations they aren’t running anymore and yea they have lost some and been knocked out. They don’t run. Which is why luffy about to beat this man’s monkey ass all across this rooftop and throw his body to the floor. At least I hope.

Slightly tilting to the ground, “I feel a tinglingly sensation in my skin.” Interestingly enough even Kid who also possess conquerors Haki almost fainted when Luffy and Kaido clashed.
The equal size of globes caused by luffy and kaido's conquerors haki emphasizes that their will were more or less on an equal tier. This makes even more sense because the moment luffy learned to infuse conquerors haki with advance arnament haki, he was able to fight kaido on an equal footing.
It's still amazing that at the beginning of the fight Luffy could barely dodge hit attacks and by the end he was moving so fast that Kaido couldnt even keep up with him half the time

I think it's terribly adapted. In the manga Kaido gets up, calls Thunder Bagua and completrly blitzes Luffy, leaving him sprawling in the dirt. Here he slowly gets up, calls out Luffy and gets in a "standoff" with him, Big Mom's singing... And then he attacks, which Luffy dodges, or at least he appears to, even sticking the landing. Truly awful

Kaido was referring to people capable of killing him or maybe that he know can have a death match with him. Exactly. They really messed that up. The attack wasn’t just strong it’s super fast. Luffy didn’t use no King Kong Gun in the manga. He didn’t even see the attack, it just one shot him and he couldn’t even react to it. This is much better.

It gave you the sense that they are gonna clash and the fight is going to be pretty long, when in reality, Kaido ate Luffy's attack and just one shot Luffy. We all knew at that time that Kaido was stronger than Luffy but we expected gear 4th to stand a slight chance and MAYBE be able to somewhat hurt Kaido. Boy we were wrong and I love that about that episode.

I think it's terribly adapted. In the manga Kaido gets up, calls Thunder Bagua and completrly blitzes Luffy, leaving him sprawling in the dirt. Here he slowly gets up, calls out Luffy and gets in a "standoff" with him, Big Mom's singing... And then he attacks, which Luffy dodges, or at least he appears to, even sticking the landing. Truly awful

Kaido was referring to people capable of killing him or maybe that he know can have a death match with him. Big mom didn’t made the list cause I think she can’t kill kaido, she’s not strong enough but she can rival him for sure. And the fact that shanks was the only one who was not smiling is because he is alive among all of them. But I definitely think shanks is stronger than kaido. Not that much but he is. He is the strongest pirate alive actually.

Exactly. They really messed that up. The attack wasn’t just strong it’s super fast. Luffy didn’t use no King Kong Gun in the manga. He didn’t even see the attack, it just one shot him and he couldn’t even react to it. This is much better.

It gave you the sense that they are gonna clash and the fight is going to be pretty long, when in reality, Kaido ate Luffy's attack and just one shot Luffy. We all knew at that time that Kaido was stronger than Luffy but we expected gear 4th to stand a slight chance and MAYBE be able to somewhat hurt Kaido. Boy we were wrong and I love that about that episode.

If youre referring to the first Thunder Bagua, you truly need to get your eyes checked cause that was some crispy animation.
