Thank you so much for this excellent video! I love B&W photography, and your videos and work inspire me. Using "transform" to de-squish wide-angle shots is life-changing! Thanks for that tip especially 🙂

Best landscape photographer on RUclips. 🫡 Enjoy hearing your process and techniques to a scene/shot. I fully grasp the histogram after watching one of your videos. Lol Also one of the most serious photographers who goes through the unbeaten path to get the shot. An adventure every video.

A gear recommendation question: for filters, do you get the size of your largest lens (e.g., 82mm for your 14-30mm f/4) or do you get one size up (e.g., 95mm) and use a step-up ring to avoid vignetting at the widest angles (but then perhaps you can't use a lens hood - but I don't see one on your set up)? Also, what do you think of magnetic filters vs screw-on?

Awesome! Thanks Dave. Two questions: When you do selective sharpening, is there a primary technique that you prefer to use. Also, I have been following you for a long time, but I have not been notified of new videos. Did you go dark for a bit or I have I missed some things over the past few months? Thanks for the video, I appreciate all of the high quality thought and info. No BS just helpful information every time.

Nice blend of OK, I knew that to I have to try that. Especially I noted that you pay attention to the whole image rather than just use leading lines and bright spots to "lead the viewer's eye," which seems to me manipulative. I will give using the rule of third boxes as zones a try. This video was well worthwhile.
