One of the best landscape photographers that I have ever seen. Move over Ansel!
Thanks John.
Thank you so much for this excellent video! I love B&W photography, and your videos and work inspire me. Using "transform" to de-squish wide-angle shots is life-changing! Thanks for that tip especially 🙂
Great to hear!
Excellent Video Dave, thanks Neil
Very welcome, Neil
Yea! A new Dave Morrow video. Always good content.
Thanks for watching.
Outstanding work Dave. Thank you for your hard work.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great explanation of lighting the scene and keeping one’s eye involved in the photo!

Wow, wow and WOW! This is SO AWESOME! Heading to Greenland in 2 days and these tips are amazing. Thank you so much for taking the time and effort for us ameture photographers to step up our game. I can't thank you enough. Can't wait to review the downloads you offered. Hitting the LIKE and subscribing! Glad RUclips directed me to your video.
Have a great trip!
Enjoyed this Dave and very much relatable to how I approach my black and white fine art architecture work using Gestalt's theory incorporating the Figure and Ground principle to create Presence and Depth in my image
That color wheel will really come in handy - I didn't have it activated until you mentioned it in this video...thanks for the heads up!
Glad to hear it!
Best landscape photographer on RUclips. 🫡 Enjoy hearing your process and techniques to a scene/shot. I fully grasp the histogram after watching one of your videos. Lol Also one of the most serious photographers who goes through the unbeaten path to get the shot. An adventure every video.
Thanks brother! Really glad you like the videos
Always learn something new! Thanks
You bet!
Hi Dave from Adelaide South Australia.....Always intelligent video tutorials....thankyou.
You're welcome
Dave, you are so amazing and inspiring!! Thank you.
A gear recommendation question: for filters, do you get the size of your largest lens (e.g., 82mm for your 14-30mm f/4) or do you get one size up (e.g., 95mm) and use a step-up ring to avoid vignetting at the widest angles (but then perhaps you can't use a lens hood - but I don't see one on your set up)? Also, what do you think of magnetic filters vs screw-on?
Here ya go: www.davemorrowphotography.com/p/whats-in-dave-morrows-camera-bag.html Lots of resources for you on my website:) No lens hood ever. Just use your hand when there is a sun flair
what a great transformation through your editing Dave!
Thanks so much!
Just putting this video on repeat in my studio.
Nice!
Super helpfull Dave ❤
Great to hear
Really great analysis. Will try this consciously the next time I have these conditions.

Nicely Done. Alwarys appreciate your work!

Super vid! You mentioned a color wheel you take with you. Do you have a link or some info on it? Thanks!
Thanks Here ya go: www.davemorrowphotography.com/color-theory-photography
Great tutorial
Thanks
Awesome! Thanks Dave. Two questions: When you do selective sharpening, is there a primary technique that you prefer to use. Also, I have been following you for a long time, but I have not been notified of new videos. Did you go dark for a bit or I have I missed some things over the past few months? Thanks for the video, I appreciate all of the high quality thought and info. No BS just helpful information every time.
I go dark for long periods of time. Impossible to post content consistently and do good landscape photography and hiking work.
Well Dave, your content is worth the wait and then some. Have a great summer.
@@mariolombardi4766 you too! Glad to hear that.
i will watch it tomorrow, need a sleep first :D the intro screen already looks nice, because i love snow and mountains :D and to snowboard and making photos
Snow and mountains are hard to beat:)
I can see why this video was picked up by media outlets to view in my smart news feed.
Awesome. Thanks Dave
Very welcome
Cool Guy! Cool Video!
Appreciate it!
nice video, good tips
Thanks!
Hello Ansel!
Nice blend of OK, I knew that to I have to try that. Especially I noted that you pay attention to the whole image rather than just use leading lines and bright spots to "lead the viewer's eye," which seems to me manipulative. I will give using the rule of third boxes as zones a try. This video was well worthwhile.
Hope it helps!
Also what tripod are you using and is it just for the low level use?

Great tips. Amazing image transformation from start to finish. Is good to know how your final image will look right from the field. Some new images in the latest work gallery soon? 🙂
Working on a big batch of new images right now. Thanks for asking! Have about 7 youtube videos in the backlog was well. Just need to find the time to edit them.
@@DaveMorrow Wow. Amazing news, great to hear this. 7 videos? Is like waiting for a new Game of Thrones season 🙂 I can wait! Cheers, Dave 👋
You had me till i saw that camera “strap”
Kidding, i subbed anyway!
Cut 5 oz off my pack weight with that strap. Makes big difference on 80 mile hikes;)
