Making Use of DAPR in the Real World - Chris Lloyd-Jones, Avanade
The Distributed Application Runtime (Dapr) is a project from CNCF, providing APIs that simplify microservice connectivity - abstracting away implementation details, to provide simple capabilities, for messaging, storage, and more. By abstracting away these capabilities, service discovery becomes easier, and heterogeneous development teams can more easily collaborate together, using different programming languages and ways of working. This session will operate in a lab format, forking a GitHub repository, and then going through steps to build out and deploy a distributed web application; with a shared state store, messaging, and event handlers. Attendees will leave the session having developed parts of an application in C#, Python, Go, and JavaScript - or preferred languages from that list.
