@@1flash3571 That explains a lot. TXT felt fairly similar to Shinee in some songs and choreography, and I'm not even complaining. Shinee was and still is very unique and carries a unique sound. @Zzandra kinda agree, they have equal dance and vocal skill, all of them are great. As in BTS they have RM & Jin lack in dance, RM & Suga lack in vocal.. TXT has more equal skill.. But.. BTS has much more producing and writing skill, even since their debut. That's it. BTS and TXT are perfect with their own ways.

Well it does mean a lot for the guy who started the song, the one who sings Jonghyun's parts (blue and white varsity jacket). This song became his inspiration to be an artist and it's when he first heard this song that he began his journey. You can see it in his eyes that he really enjoys the performance and how much the song means to him. The other 4 did a great job but that one boy (Taehyun) was practically glowing.
The only one i trust with jonghyuns lines is taehyun. That boy is something else. Im so excited to see where this road will take him. I really hope TXT (and shinee!) will be even more successful.

Whenever random kpop fans talk about 'TXT has no stage presence', I rewatched some of their performance videos. And still amazed me how I can enjoy all of them even when I'm already watched it a lot of time. They don't need fake swag, bold make up, and noisy songs to break the stage. The way they capture a lot of audience attention especially for non-fans, that's what I call stage presence.

That's the sweetest thing I ever witnessed on a music show stre4ming. I always recognize that somehow TXT has SHINee's vibe on them. I'm so happy for babywol Taehyun, his admiration for SHINee is real and pure
I say thank you to that young man who sung Jonghyun's parts with such passion and soul. It really made my heart melt to hear him putting so much love into his parts. Truly wonderful. This quintet has helped add to the legacy of Replay by putting on a stage that had me engaged and wanting to see them do it without a shit camera job. TXT my hat's off to you

Honestly I’m not even a shawol but something about this just makes me so emotional. A lot of shawol in the comments were feeling very nostalgic and talked about how SHINee started out as young boys with dreams and that txt reminds them of that. I feel like years down the line MOA will watch this understand what they meant and feel the same thing.
Because of people showing their love in the comments section, I have learned the significance of this song for Shawol and the KPop community. I now have Replay in my regular rotation, and while I can never even imagine what it means for loyal Shawol, the song is now part of my journey. The way TXT covers other groups is that they don't try to exactly be like them or copy them, but they perform it in their own style as if its their own song while at the same time they perform it to the standards of the original artist and try to give off the same nostalgic emotions the original artist gives. I don't know if that makes sense? But I personally feel like the way txt executes covers is genuinely the best I've ever seen. I've seen so many groups doing covers where they're trying to copy or be exactly like the original artist and it's just not that impressive? On top of all of that, txt is a very unique group with a unique sound and they very much resemble shinee. I have huge respect for them that they're actually doing something different and unique in this generation from most bgs and bringing in more diversity into the kpop industry. I feel like they're one of the only big company groups right now that's genuinely living up to their privilege and hype. The first group I’ve ever fully stanned was Shinee, most groups that cover their songs do good but never give of the same vibes that shinee had; Txt really did this song and performance justice, honestly everything was so on point that it almost felt that I could see Shinee on that stage - all 5 of them. When I watched it for the first time I started crying mostly because of Taehyun's part. He took the best from the original performance and multiplied it by his own vision and talent, and the result is amazing. All of them did well, it's a great job, and no one has any right to say that they didn't do it properly. SHAWOL since 2008. TXT covering Replay gave me so much nostalgia. This is the first song that I've memorised completely without reading the lyrics and just by listening to it. Jonghyun will forever be my bias.

So I just wanted to point this out but I really have mad respect for TXT. No shade to other groups but they always try to be different, when they cover a senior group. Make it their own and try not to copy the original artist. But when TXT covers a songs. They make it their own but also don't. They remind you of the old days of the original artist, as if the time was turned back. The same happend with "Boy in love". For me never had anyone covered a BTS song as good as them. i’ve listened to txt’s album as a casual kpop listener but as a shawol of course i was drawn to this cover. i think halfway thru the song i realized it wasn’t actually shinee but txt performing, which is to say, they did an amazing job. i don’t know if this is a thing with other shawols but this song makes me extremely emotional (especially since his passing) and seeing the amount of respect and care the txt boys put into the performance brought so much joy to me. Don’t wanna just name an specific member because to me they all put something in the performance that reminded me so much of shinee (but definite kudos to the kid doing jjong’s part, his letter was also very lovely)... and so, now i’m very excited about what txt will bring to the table in 2020. I’m not even a shawol. But I saw SHINee for years, I had like a care for them. And when jjong passed I cried a lot, I felt rlly sad. And replay for some reason started to make me wanna cry. I’m army, and i just started to follow txt, bc they’re cute, they’re unique. And this cover made me cry a little bit too. Without a doubt TXT is the most synchronized group of the fourth generation of kpop. Clearly they work very hard to be that perfect, in addition that they have a lot of energy! One of my favorite fourth generation groups.

Well it does mean a lot for the guy who started the song, the one who sings Jonghyun's parts (blue and white varsity jacket). This song became his inspiration to be an artist and it's when he first heard this song that he began his journey. You can see it in his eyes that he really enjoys the performance and how much the song means to him. The other 4 did a great job but that one boy (Taehyun) was practically glowing.

The way TXT covers other groups is that they don't try to exactly be like them or copy them, but they perform it in their own style as if its their own song while at the same time they perform it to the standards of the original artist and try to give off the same nostalgic emotions the original artist gives. I don't know if that makes sense? But I personally feel like the way txt executes covers is genuinely the best I've ever seen. I've seen so many groups doing covers where they're trying to copy or be exactly like the original artist and it's just not that impressive? On top of all of that, txt is a very unique group with a unique sound and they very much resemble shinee. I have huge respect for them that they're actually doing something different and unique in this generation from most bgs and bringing in more diversity into the kpop industry. I feel like they're one of the only big company groups right now that's genuinely living up to their privilege and hype. Mad respect to txt, this performance was incredible and one that I'll never forget.

When I watched it for the first time I started crying mostly because of Taehyun's part. He took the best from the original performance and multiplied it by his own vision and talent, and the result is amazing. All of them did well, it's a great job, and no one has any right to say that they didn't do it properly. If you like Astro's cover more - it's your choice, but don't humiliate txt here, keep your negative thoughts for yourself and don't waste your time watching something you don't like.

So I just wanted to point this out but I really have mad respect for TXT. No shade to other groups but they always try to be different, when they cover a senior group. Make it their own and try not to copy the original artist.
But when TXT covers a songs. They make it their own but also don't. They remind you of the old days of the original artist, as if the time was turned back.
The same happend with "Boy in love". For me never had anyone covered a BTS song as good as them. The moment the cover started I was suddenly remembered by a nostalgic time with BTS in the earlier years.

i’ve listened to txt’s album as a casual kpop listener but as a shawol of course i was drawn to this cover. i think halfway thru the song i realized it wasn’t actually shinee but txt performing, which is to say, they did an amazing job. i don’t know if this is a thing with other shawols but this song makes me extremely emotional (especially since his passing) and seeing the amount of respect and care the txt boys put into the performance brought so much joy to me. Don’t wanna just name an specific member because to me they all put something in the performance that reminded me so much of shinee (but definite kudos to the kid doing jjong’s part, his letter was also very lovely)... and so, now i’m very excited about what txt will bring to the table in 2020.

I am such a picky ass shawol and I seldom see a cover of shinee that I like but this almost made me cry???? Fr. The only other shinee group cover I’ve seen as good as this was Astro’s replay cover. This song almost sounds like it was originally txt’s and I think it’s because they really paid attention to the adlibs. I’m really proud of them as a shawol and moa. Taehyun owned his parts and hueningkai’s and yeonjun’s voice sounds like it was MADE for replay. Looooove it so much.
