I’ve had T1D for 35 years and I’ve been on a pump for almost 20 years. I’ve never let it stop me from anything. And I can see from you and your daughter spirit, that your daughter will never be slow down by it!! Thanks for sharing this helpful tip and for sharing your wonderful spirit

We also run iphone and I have Apple Watch but was thinking about an Apple Watch for my daughter she is 9 in August. Thank you so much for you great videos. Hi, i just switched to movi t slim, and this video was very helpfull. I would suggest you dont Put insulin on the arm because it absorbs It differntly from other sites like low back or abdomen. I ve been diabetic over 24 years and have been using different insulin pumps over the years

When she gets her three seventh grade shots with the sensor on her arm, how would that work exactly, do they put three in one arm or work around the sensor, as someone who isn't familiar with sensors (no one I know has diabetes but my foster dad is borderline) I'm generally curious.

Hi Dose Family, I've been using the TSlim X2 for about 14 months now and am curious why you use the iPhone app to start and stop the G6 sensor, I just use the pump. The only thing I use the apps for is to share my glucose logs with the Doctor
Hi, Thank you for the question. I guess it's just preference and I'm so used to doing it because it's how we started. But we also use the Connect app and Sugarmate app as well.
@@the.dose.family The Sugarmate app looks interesting. I used Diabetes Pilot app for years before I began using the pump but it has limited functionality for pump use.

Hello. Thanks for the video. We just restarted the dexcom g6 for first time (son is 9). It worked but the numbers are totally different to finger stick. Dexcom shows 220 mg and finger stick 137 mg. Did you experince this too?
Hi yes that happens something so I always double check with the finger stick so if it’s still inaccurate we change out the sensor. Just for their safety

My daughter is a type 1 diabetic as well, I’ve never thought to try her pump site on her arm (we’ve only done her Dexcom on her arm). Where does the cord hang? Does it hang by her arm? I’m always curious about trying new spots!!!
Hi we feed it into her shirt and down so her pump will be hooked onto her pants she’s small so it reaches but I’ve see others put it on their bra or sport bra

Omg why haven’t I known this. We had the dexcom g5 and those I was able to leave it on my daughter extra 7 days but since we changed to g6 I always wished we could use it longer. My daughter was diagnosed at the age of 3, she is now 7 so we’ve been in the dexcom for awhile now. I always get nervous while applying it on her till this day
Oh and one more question- does her watch communicate with her Dexcom so she doesn’t have to carry a phone around?
Unfortunately not she still does need to have her phone near her . We use it to communicate and preventing her from take her phone out in class .Hands free glance hope that helps !!
