What is this type of spoiler called in general doe?
Do You have these for a 1979 mustang ?
how much length of deck for a 1000 horse power, shooting for 8.5 sec 1/4 mile car 71 nova, maybe 165 mph? great vid consider me educated
Tim does a drag style flat wing like that provide any merit on a truck with an open bed?
+Christopher Morales yea I get that. What I was asking Tim McAmis was not if I should cover the bed but if there is any benefit to adding a flat drag style spoiler to a tailgate without the bed covered.
+Christopher Morales I don't think you understand, I need the bed open to put shit in when I go to cruise ins, etc. I get covering the bed and how it affects aero, I'm asking the man who posted the video if it's beneficial to add a flat spoiler or drag wing to the tailgate, or if it's simply for aesthetics on a truck without a solid bed cover.
+War Machine it'd simply be for looks.
+slowpoke96z28 no it wouldn't. There's plenty of race trucks that have rear wings and no bed cover. Rear spoilers ARE NOT dependent on a bed cover to work properly. They work whether its mounted to an open bed or covered. Doesn't matter.
+blazer6248 examples? cause it seems to me the spoiler would stall. the physics doesn't add up.
thats a huge deck
So it would be ideal to make the wicker bill adjustable then 🤷
I'm thinking the same for my 96 Corolla
Why are you calling it a wickerbill when it's more accurately a gurney flap? 🤔
(At least at that height)
Why do front wheel drive cars have these again?
Downforce
You still want stability at the rear of the car even if it’s FWD, same reason as to why you see a lot of serious RWD drag cars with a front splitter/lip of some sort
The edge at the back is like a parachute.
I suggest that you take the time to look how aero and, in particular, wicker bills/Gurneys work.
That's where the down force comes from didn't watch it all did ya 🤦
That's not how that works
Air can't flow under this, so it isn't a wing!
The only way you can call it a wing or Wang it has to be able to FLAP!
So then what is it cause
@@cg7life357 A spoiler.
