    ****SPOILER ALERT!****
    If you haven't watched the match WATCH IT FIRST before you read any comments!! It's worth it.
    Wow, that was tough. To come within literally one shot of winning and not be able to pull it off. I was pulling for Alex all the way, although David was stroking the ball better. Both pulled off 5-packs. Alex was actually not at his best but he was grinding it out and scrapping for it, and he deserved to be neck-and-neck.
    One observation: at the end Alex Lely responds to "That's got to be one of the best matches you've ever witnessed" by saying, "well, not the best, but exciting"--that's a perfect example of why players sometimes don't make the best commentators. Alex Lely is looking at the match from a standpoint of consistency and execution. But that's not the essence of the drama of sport for spectators and fans. The other announcer (sorry, I can't remember his name) is correct in this case. A spectacular match--just what fans want and what pool needs. Better than if one player had played the way Alex Lely would consider "the best."

      He can have his own opinion on what makes a match great or not I think. Commentators can make personal statements, that's what they do and that's how they avoid being bland. Strickland talks a lot of crap and trash talks players but people like that apparently.
      I personnaly enjoy matches also based on game standard or consistency. Points of views that's all

    Why did Kazakis use right side English on that 8 ball? That made no sense. He would of left himself a clean corner shot on the 9 if he just hits it in the center. I just don't get it.

    • @brandonmcleod4364
      @brandonmcleod4364 3 года назад +1

      Seems to have been trying to come underneath the 9 for the side. Coming above it was more natural but added in possibility of the scratch.

    @ "Sunpride" -> Your ads tend to block the table, consequently blocking the player, tho way he executes his shot and the end result of that shot. Ad agencies may be aggressive; but they have also to be sensitive to the game they are claiming to help. Viewers like me would remember your name as a company whose product one would NEVER buy!

    David is his own worse enemy. I notice that many of the times that he stops in the stroke then snaps at the cue and it bounces off the table. Many of those times he misses just because of that. Pretty clear he doesn't deserve the wins. But I want to root for him anyway at times. He needs a coach that will be strict with him and show him the simple stroke problems that cause him the jackpots he gets himself in.

    You know what.. I dont think I could do this rediculous grand entrance.
    Is there anyway we can just come in sit down .. ya know if he wants to make a speech and entoduce us that's fine but I'm not running down a isle like I just got called to the front on the prices right.
    Let's not get carried away here.
    That's the kind of stuff I struggle with when thinking of joining a pro tour.
