Dear Dr. Campbell. Take a break. Even God rested on the 7th day! We all need you to stay healthy to keep us informed. I can wait 1 day for more information. Keep safe and well. Thank you.

I rarely thank you, John. It is just, I listen to you and try to understand, and never say thank you. You are needed, your videos before were really well made and intresting, and these videos might save lifes or minds. Thank you!
Thank you Dr. Campbell for your daily updates. Coming from America it's difficult to get straight forward information without politics getting involved.
"everyone should wear masks" I live in Ontario, Canada and NO ONE except my hubby wears a mask, not the clerks in stores, not the customers. Hubby has been ridiculed, there was even a recent local facebook post that advocated "Some will wear masks for weeks....that’s okay. Be kind.", as if the whole pandemic was over already. I haven't left my home for over two months, and hubby has to leave to get food, no delivery available here, so he has to be around people who are not wearing masks. Apparently the people surrounding our home are superhuman and immune to the virus; perhaps a team of experts are needed to study them to see what their super powers are!.
Very few wearing masks in most parts of Canada. I think because of the initial PPE shortage they discouraged masks so much that people believe there is no benefit. That's probably the worst piece of messaging from our government so far. I understand with the whole TP hoarding thing that we probably couldn't have been trusted as a whole but why they couldn't have lied by encouraging homemade masks (call it moral support for health care workers, like wear pink for bullying) I don't know.
MargaretT T I’m in ontario too. I am finding people are “offended” by me wearing a mask and trying to stay apart from them - I’m literally being accused of treating neighbours as though they are infected is an “insult” to them, and implies I think they are “dirty” or “stigmatized”, and that I am being “uppity” by trying to stay 6 feet apart and trying to stop them from approaching me, which they do when I am outside. And these are university educated people who (I would have thought!) should know better than to act insulted because I won’t go into their house or allow them into mine.
I've been accused of actually contributing to the problem by wearing a mask....by not allowing my own or others' immune systems to fight off virus naturally. 🙄
The problem with the meat packing plants is that you cannot turn them off and on without introducing uncalled for suffering for the animals in the supply chain. Closing those plants is VERY wasteful for a world that has humans who do not have the food they need to survive. Production can be worked out to protect the employees health.
Thank you Dr. John for your daily briefings! Have you seen the recent articles in regards to Vitamin D?! I think it’s finally getting the much needed attention!! How exciting!

Yes, all it takes is a subtle squeeze which may feel comfortable, but the person won't realise it and before you know it, they're out from the carotid artery being compressed. From that point onward, if the same pressure is applied for 30 seconds - 3 minutes, serious consequences result.

Taking people's temperatures isn't as good a monitoring system for infection; in California, only 30% of people coming to hospital had or ever developed a fever. That leaves 70% of infected people without a fever. So taking people's temperatures is pointless in finding infected people. Sorry!
@Don P there was Dr.s who was in Africa during the Ebola outbreak, they took meds to get fevers down to bored airliners just so they didn't miss Christmas at home with family! So yes I'm sure theres more selfish idiots doing the same thing with this virus..

John, did you forget to mention that Hong Kong has had zero local cases for over 14 days?? One more week and the crisis measures in HK will be declared over. A huge success story!
@TimeSpex Why would they? HK does not figure largely in the equation and can you quote me a reference to the cases reported in "Eastern media" regarding Tunisia which has a 50% larger population and similar but fewer cases? Can I report that your close neighbour Singapore has had a resurgence of cases as they took the brakes off due to complacency. How about you stop making racist statements - we're not jealous of your success.
As long as this virus is running flagrantly worldwide , you success story is likely to be shortlived, since we cannot realistically live life in a bottle.

Dr Seheult on the "Medcram" channel has been presenting a hypothesis that the pathways blocked by the virus result in damage to the endothelium, and that's why places like the lungs and kidneys are so affected. This even fits in with the vitamin D hypothesis since D is so important to the endothelium through nitric oxide.
Indeed. But he's been presenting data, not his personal hypothesis or research. Many other medical channels on RUclips did just the same, as some data just has been released in different medical publications. (To an extent, this was already known. Now, it seems just more important than before, perhaps prevalent).
@Antee Matter Lol. I don't remember claiming to be a doctor or anything like that. No I'm struggling to keep up, but found it interesting and thought someone else might too.
The medcram guy is an idiot, just look at his early videos on the virus where he downplays it. When a cell gets infected it DIES and before that happens cytokines go to it which cause INFLAMMATION. Since endothelial cells have ACE2 receptors there is no need for a 'theory' we already know how the immune system works, at least if you are educated and your name is not 'medcram'

Thank you very much for the hard work doing research and preparation for us. I live in Boston, may go outside alone for exercise. Being older with chronic conditions, have been inside. Have communications with my primary care and psychiatrist. Using delivery service for food. If not to apt door, other people in my building have been very helpful in delivering to my door, giving a light knock in case I am sleeping. The Governor of Massachusetts and Mayor of Boston are very firm about masks being worn outside, and in grocery stores. Social(physical) distancing MUST be done, or the great parks system will be closed. They have already been closed once. We don't share elevators. Luckily, I am a bookworm, am also binging tv series. My primary care's office is closed, but skeleton staffed to answer questions, send prescriptions to pharmacies. The weather in Boston is starting to be great; the mayor and Governor even more stern about masks and distancing. On Social Security, have received $1200. Very welcome, food deliveries are expensive, I tip $50 per delivery, I think that is only fair. I hope to go out near the river later. Be well, all.
"Let me be quite clear, you can survive without meat for a couple weeks"..... US mainstream media "Oh my gad our protein source is going to hell, we're all doomed!!!"
Yes we can survive without meat but what of the thousands of meat workers out of jobs, they are already a fragile socio-economic status... the virus doesn’t just sicken and kill, it interrupts mental health, regular medical care, businesses, the economy, and social and family workings. It is picking us apart little by little and I’m quite appalled that we can send a rocket to the moon but we can’t stop a virus from taking over the world.

@The Situation well a lot of people seem too, and a lot of people agree with me. Just because you dont agree doesnt mean my opinions are invalid even if they are different to yours. Like you I'm entitled to an opinion. Tough. I'm also entitled to refuse a forced jab - that would constitute assault.
@@jeannorris1510 typhoid and cholera plus vaccines I had at school.its besides the point. They were and are well tested vaccines. A novel vaccination for a novel virus isnt going anywhere near me. I'm not the only one saying this. I'm not into the 5g or Bill Gates conspiracy nonsense (although people are entitled to mistrust borh) just the common sense logic of not rushing to have something that's not long term tested. If you think it's safe, because they say it's safe your a fool. Look at Thalidomide (I know it's not a vaccine) the experts said that was safe once. Asbestos was safe once, so was smoking. It may well be safe but only time will tell.
The problem is its fine for those that are symptomatic its pointless when 50% of those you may come into contact with are A symptomatic being in the venerable group isolation is still the best option. If I am out I am masked.
We need to update the risk assessment for those who should shield. Cardiovascular disease and hypertension much higher risk than asthma because its more of a mirco blood clot issue than a chest infection
Newest studies have shown that nearly all the masks people are wearing are less than 2% effective...but it makes you feel safer, so do it. I have some placebos for sale you might want to buy...good luck masked man-your mask may be doing no good or less than that, but wish you well.
@רבקה unfortunately here home made masks to stop the public infecting others is a last resort because home care workers are working with surgical masks only. There's not enough respirators for staff and not enough surgical masks for the public
Here in Ireland case rate /million is third highest in EU just Belgium and Spain higher and they sending people back to work like normal second week ,some employers installed heat monitors ,nobody wearing mask and nobody even social distancing anymore other than entrances. something just isn't right around here
Different countries are using different methods to count deaths. Ireland is including deaths in non-hospital settings and, as far as I'm aware, clinically diagnosed cases. Until recently, the UK was not counting deaths in non-hospital settings, for example. Not all data is created equally, it's important to know what these counts include. Wouldn't disagree with you on your other points.
Agree Peter. Here in roscommon people just going about a normal life! Social distancing..... ? I think they think because we are soo far from Dublin it won't reach us! I think our numbers are about 151 and are actually going up quite steadily now! Seriously worried about it here and as for lifting restrictions, I'm sticking to self isolating!
Get back to work and live your fawkin life. How old are you? 65 or above? If not thrre is 99.4 percent survival rate. Fear also weakens your immune system.
The rate of deaths in Ireland is about one-third of UK rate but this is not a pointless competition and it is not over yet. I hope it is not taking the place of the Eurovision competition. We should learn from each other.

With all due respect Dr John, we in the US were told to stay inside to “flatten the curve” for a month. I live in georgia, we’ve done that. Our country has done that. There are plenty ventilation units etc now. Nursing staff is ready. We can’t stay home any longer. People need to work to feed their families. We are being FORCED to stay home, businesses closed against our constitution. Ben Franklin.....Those who give up their liberty for a bit of safety deserves neither liberty nor safety.
They aren’t asking you to stay home for a laugh. It’s crippling the economy so just think why ? They are trying to save you life and those you may infect. Why you all feel hard done by I can not understand, it’s for your benefit so stop whining and stay home !
To be fair to him, it's John Campbell's mission to report on the latest developments regarding this pandemic. He certainly does offer commentary on certain matters of public health policy (the need for more testing capacity comes to mind), but he's not an economist, political scientist, or moral philosopher. I do often find it grating to hear in these daily videos that more economic bloodletting is called for, but ultimately I chose to watch a health-centric video, and I got a health-centric message.
Matt B good point. I really tried to be thoughtful in the way is said my comment. He looks so disappointed sometimes when speaking about areas. It would think metal heath and starvation would be a concern as well as this virus. People don’t work; they don’t eat. My neighbor hung himself about 2 weeks ago. He suffered from depression. He lost his job in February. Instead of buying medicines he bought food. Didn’t take long for him to go down hill. I noticed he wasnt walking the dogs but didn’t really think about it. He was supposed to meet his wife for her lunch break from work ( she worked at a resort but is now laid off) and he didn’t show. She called our other neighbor and he went over and found him hanging from the balcony. So sad. A 12 yr old killed himself last week too. I’m hearing suicides are up. We are either going to die from this virus, starvation or isolation/depression. I’ll take my chances with the virus. That’s my opinion. Take care❤️
@@hollyhocks7360 I agree with both sides. It's time to STOP just thinking "stay at home" and "lockdown." It's NOT time to just go back to normal! Smart should be the new Don't.

Yes, that was difficult to listen too. But it does make us a very well informed group. Balance it with good things that are happening in your vicinity. Are you able to garden or go outside?
A good chunk of those people were UK nationals on holidays and the likes. That being said when China closed internal flights out of Wuhan and kept international flights out of Wuhan open the W.H.O. supported them and this meant the virus was allowed to spread quicker than it might otherwise have.
Only the very wealthy can afford flights right now, and as we already know, there are always a different set of rules for them. Returning UK nationals are glad of the opportunity and financial help from the government to be able to get home on these flights, but I don't think the flights would be chartered purely for their use.
Very grateful to you for sharing your videos! I look forward to watching more! God bless and thank you for trying to keep us safe! Philadelphia Pennsylvania USA.
yeah, you can survive without meat for a few weeks. The underlying economic issue is that the farmers can't survive without a market for their livestock. The economic impact is going to be more deadly than the virus in terms of stress.
I know this is silly but I wonder how people that worked in like food-specific (chippys, bakeries, Greggs etc) and other shops of Non-Essentials (Primark, M&S etc) or cinemas and theatres are getting money to buy food to survive their weeks. They haven't been to work in like a month. Unless we're getting a cheque like America did that I haven't heard about? Not everybody gets DLA/PIP or Carers Allowance.
I've just started watching, is this in regards to Social Distancing? Because a surprising amount of people are total wimps when it comes to snakes and spiders XD but my mother and nan seem to have trained me differently than every other girl I grew up with.
In the US I believe they're starting to appreciate that COVID-19 also features a clotting disorder, so they're giving patients blood thinners early on.
I mean look at what happened with Charles (maybe douglass) murrys book on race and IQ and how that was automatically made racist. Instead of learning our differences and doing things of benefit from such studies its labeled racist, filed away in a hole and never mentioned again. Unfortunately there are in fact differences and knowing those and how to aid would be far more beneficial than crying out about racism and no good coming from it.
My grandson age 5 had every single one of those symptoms in kids 2 weeks ago. It was really strange his eyes burned bad and he had rashes all over his stomach and back and he complained of stomach pain. He's fine now but it was weird.

I wonder why there's still so much emphasis on screening by temperature when virtually every study shows only half (or fewer) infected patients have fever as a symptom.
By the time a fever shows up you've been spreading, only a third of people have a fever and so many other illnesses cause fever, your logic designated with me. 👍💕

I live in New Mexico and have played sports against Gallup schools, as well as traveled many times to the area. Gallup is a very poor area with not very good medical care. Lots of people without running water and electricity. Many Navajo people live there with 3 generations living under one roof. The spread is pretty bad. However, lots of fear of civil liberties are at risk. Lastly, 55% of New Mexico cases are in the Navajo nation Gallup area.
In Gallup they have running water. Those who live on the reservations, a lot of them do not. They have water tanks they put in the bed of their trucks or a flat bed. I wouldn't say Gallup is poor. Lived there for 18 years. I think its more of "I have money...spend it..."

WRONG..the 2+ Trillion Dollar (only coming payments) CARE Bill took less than a week. They can do it even faster. The reason why many east asian countries and some SEA near China are doing well is simple: The SARS outbreak in 2003 experience. While Europe and America haven't had a severed pandemic since the spanish flu. Also, I think african countries are doing OK considering the circumstances. Because they too have experience with pandemics worse than covid-19.
Also high consumption of hydroxychloroquine - many African colleagues tell me they used to munch on these tablets growing up to keep malaria at bay! Many availing of it now as health care is poor - it does help the body defeat the virus, especially when combined with zinc.

"everyone should wear masks"
I live in Ontario, Canada and NO ONE except my hubby wears a mask, not the clerks in stores, not the customers.
@@namibwarzone514 Then go out and see it. Morgue trucks are a good starting point.
If you and your husband lasted this long 1. You already got immunity. 2. Those people aren’t sick which is a good thing.

“All are architects of Fate,
Working in these walls of Time;
Some with massive deeds and great,
Some with ornaments of rhyme.
Nothing useless is, or low;
Each thing in its place is best;
And what seems but idle show
Strengthens and supports the rest.
For the structure that we raise,
Time is with materials filled;
Our todays and yesterdays
Are the blocks with which we build.
Truly shape and fashion these;
Leave no yawning gaps between;
Think not, because no man sees,
Such things will remain unseen.
In the elder days of Art,
Builders wrought with greatest care
Each minute and unseen part;
For the gods see everywhere.
Let us do our work as well,
Both the unseen and the seen;
Make the house where gods may dwell
Beautiful, entire, and clean.
Else our lives are incomplete,
Standing in these walls of Time,
Broken stairways, where the feet
Stumble, as they seek to climb.
Build today, then, strong and sure,
With a firm and ample base;
And ascending and secure
Shall tomorrow find its place.
Thus alone can we attain
To those turrets, where the eye
Sees the world as one vast plain,
And one boundless reach of sky.”

Excellent channel. I've learned a ton from him.
Love you Dr Campbell! Keep safe!

Hyperinsulinemia is quite high in Ireland, together with low consumption of Vitamin D3 and C, this will make people more susceptible to COVID-19.

Yes, that was difficult to listen too. But it does make us a very well informed group. Balance it with good things that are happening in your vicinity. Are you able to garden or go outside?
Why is the UK allowing ten thousand people to fly in from outside the country ? While quarantining their own people ?
A good chunk of those people were UK nationals on holidays and the likes. That being said when China closed internal flights out of Wuhan and kept international flights out of Wuhan open the W.H.O. supported them and this meant the virus was allowed to spread quicker than it might otherwise have.
partially to avoid the full economic disaster, avoid food shortages
Only the very wealthy can afford flights right now, and as we already know, there are always a different set of rules for them. Returning UK nationals are glad of the opportunity and financial help from the government to be able to get home on these flights, but I don't think the flights would be chartered purely for their use.
If you wish to fly safe nowadays you have to buy a plane. But there are so many sitting around unused so they must be really cheap.

yeah, you can survive without meat for a few weeks.
Furlough. 80% of wages paid by the government.
Ken Van de Burgt-Thank-you for your comment from a rancher in the Mid-West USA.
This is all part of the plan.

The best quote: “Generally we wouldn’t recommend putting snakes around your neck.”
OMG I thought the same thing. So understated. I love Dr John!
I was about to say the same thing!
I've just started watching, is this in regards to Social Distancing? Because a surprising amount of people are total wimps when it comes to snakes and spiders XD but my mother and nan seem to have trained me differently than every other girl I grew up with.
Generally?! Looking forward to hearing the cases where snake wearing IS recommended! 😅
@@Roadent1241 I should have planned ahead and gotten a pet rat to train to sit on my shoulder.
In the US I believe they're starting to appreciate that COVID-19 also features a clotting disorder, so they're giving patients blood thinners early on.
Thank you again, Dr. Campbell. I cannot emphasize how much you have helped me understand and relieve fears (from rumors) with the facts.
Thank You John for the Ayrshire content. It's much appreciated.
Thank You Dr For Your Commitment on this Subject and all your knowledge !!!
Unfortunately, the reason vit d isn't talked about enough probably has more to do with race differences being incredibly taboo.
Progressives:
"we love black people that much, that we accept to harm them more frequently than all other races" lol
Agree completely. Less racist to allow people to die needlessly, it would seem
I have actually, my gf as well. Vit d deficiency has many other symptoms than just aid with this virus.
Wouldn't it be more racist to withhold the information that more black people will get diseases?
So when you go into intensive care, the Grim Reaper basically flips a coin with your life.
Damn.
@Mike Magic That's why they demanded ventilators.
TELL THEM NO VENTILATORS AND ASSISTED BREATHING INSTEAD WITH EXTRA OXYGEN. VENTILATORS KILL 50 TO 80%

My grandson age 5 had every single one of those symptoms in kids 2 weeks ago. It was really strange his eyes burned bad and he had rashes all over his stomach and back and he complained of stomach pain. He's fine now but it was weird.
You are a Tour de force Dr John .. hope we all get to witness a Tour de France ..Thank you for your precise updates.. Great to see so many unite, listen and try to spread objective information to help us all.
Good afternoon Doctor
My name is Jim Ritchie and I live in southern France.
I do not have a medical background but, wondered if approaching the present problem from another angle had been considered, ie
Is there presently a group of individuals suffering from a different medical condition whose medication has protected them from catching the COVID 19 virus?
Yours sincerely
Jim

I wonder why there's still so much emphasis on screening by temperature when virtually every study shows only half (or fewer) infected patients have fever as a symptom.
don't wear seatbelt then? it work only when you have an incident and incident has low probability.
By the time a fever shows up you've been spreading, only a third of people have a fever and so many other illnesses cause fever, your logic designated with me. 👍💕
With Dr. Campbell's compassion and knowledge for mankind, HE IS THE MAN TO RUN W.H.O. and would have my vote in a moment.
Ralph Christ yes I do think he would fit in there very well
Dr John said around 20:30 mark that we can survive without meat for a few weeks. I am a Texan in the middle of BBQ country. I am not sure that is possible......
Dr Campbell, you gave me a fright. I misheard & thought you said, "you can live without me for a few days" & had coughed at the beginning. My mind raced to the worst. When my concentration returned you were talking about food????? Ah! he said meat.
You are, & have been my rock of support throughout this pandemic.
Thank you for keeping us informed during this pandemic!!!
Thank you for your work!
Okay now I see how it happens; The Italy cluster is public municipal water supply
Thank you, Keith, for that insight!
Starve the virus. Wear a mask.
@@CLMcIntyre I wanted to add, Gallup has 70,000 people. A little over 1,100 infected mostly in rural areas about 300 in the city.
In Gallup they have running water. Those who live on the reservations, a lot of them do not. They have water tanks they put in the bed of their trucks or a flat bed. I wouldn't say Gallup is poor. Lived there for 18 years. I think its more of "I have money...spend it..."
I'm not going to download any government app. I wonder if those that don't,like me, will be on some government non compliance list?
Desperate times doesnt mean I give up my privacy or rights.
Thanks John. It's so valuable hearing from you each day. Keep up the good work as I really appreciate it. Regards Marc
Thank You for all that you do to keep all of us informed.
Its very difficult to bypass the Bureucratic gridlock in Washington D.C.
WRONG..the 2+ Trillion Dollar (only coming payments) CARE Bill took less than a week. They can do it even faster. Unfortunately the plan is to starve out the people an install an entirely new form of Governance here in the USA. The CARE ACT was needed early on, not anymore. Now it is the Police vs the people phase. If they can limit the damage we move to the Riots stage. If that goes OK the people will be BEGGING for food and will not care what form of Government gets it for them.>that is the plan.
@M J and your reply is not petty? and not insulting to the Irish?
@@johndough23 if that happens it won't be the Democrats running it. So far the November elections looks like the Dems are going to romp and the Republicans want to see that it doesn't come to pass by any means necessary

Bureaucratic gridlock in Washington DC? You're joking me.
Think it's more feet dragging by trump and the GOP.
Lets not forget those idiotic supporters of his, protesting with automatic rifles.

Bailing out corporates whilst leaving its citizens to suffer.
Thanks for your updates! Wanted to mention uv sterilization is available for HVAC systems that would potentially help with air purification making it safer to be in a public building like churches, etc...I have one in my house to help the lungs as much as possible.

Thanks so much for these videos. It's really useful to have your printed notes in the description as well. That's a great idea.
I am not sick of you mentioning Vitamin D, I think the more you say it the more likely someone with the right contacts will hear it and act on it. You are a wealth of good information that is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

John, thanks for all your hard work. The WORLD appreciates you.
Spanish Flu is an American Flu

The issue is that the meat plants need to stay open because WE as farmers need places to process our animals as they get to market weight. Animals can not remain on farms foreve
Now days the average person is so removed from farming, they understand nothing about the complexities
In a metaphoric sense, doctors are prisoners of their education, training, the research system, and the Standards of Care/Clinical Practice Guidelines.
Some see nutrition and vitamins as either a waste of time or voo doo. How many times have you seen "experts" saying a multi-vitamin is a waste of money?
Sadly, some folks who think they're eating a healthy diet can be the most malnourished. See the USDA food research (nutrients in food declining due to farming practices) and CDC NHANES (a US national blood & bone sampling program)(nutrient deficiencies are fairly common).
Just looking at musculoskeletal injuries (nationally BMD is down in US)(realizing BMD has issues) and inactivity is up (7 hrs/day on screens)(remember bones are sort of like stiff muscles). The re-injury rate is 7 fold. Why? The injured are malnourished and have weak bones. The AF reduced injuries by 50% by diagnosing and treating entry iron anemia (mostly dietary). Rivero found 86% of stress fractures had osteopenia/osteoporosis.
