  • Making basic bread from scratch is a simple yet satisfying process that bakers of all levels can enjoy. This basic bread recipe requires only four ingredients: flour, yeast, salt, and water. The result is a delicious, crusty loaf perfect for sandwiches, toast, or simply enjoying.
In the video, I doubled the recipe and baked two pieces of bread.
Here is the recipe for one bread.
    Ingredients:
500g Bread flour (I used strong white flour)
    7g salt
    7g active dry yeast
350ml warm water at about 45°C
Begin by measuring 500g of bread flour, 4g of salt, and 7g of active dry yeast. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add the yeast to the bowl and stir until all the dry ingredients are evenly mixed.
Warm-up 350 ml of water to about 45°C (115°F) - this should feel warm to the touch but not hot. Add the warm water to the bowl and stir with a wooden spoon until a dough forms.
Turn the dough onto a surface and mix for about 2 minutes until the dough becomes mixed well.
Place the dough back into the bowl and cover with a towel or plastic wrap. Let the dough rest in a warm, draft-free area for about 15 minutes.
After resting, stretch and fold the dough for about 2 minutes to release some of the gases formed during fermentation and make this dough smooth and strong this will help the dough rise better.
Place the dough back into the bowl and cover it again. Let it rest for another 30 minutes or double the size.
Preheat your oven to 200°C and place a metal tray or pan on the bottom rack of the oven.
Roll the dough into a rectangle or oval shape that will fit on your baking sheet or thin baking.
Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Once the oven is preheated and the dough has rested for the required time, take the metal tray or pan out of the oven and pour a cup of hot water into it.
Quickly put the shaped dough into the oven on the middle rack and close the oven door. The hot water in the metal tray or pan will create steam inside the oven, which will help the bread to develop a crispy crust.
Bake the bread for 25-30 minutes, or until it is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving.
I hope these instructions help you to bake your bread successfully
