A lot of the listeners of this song are drawn here from bands like TOP, Imagine Dragons, Panic! at the Disco. I think there is a strong connection, as the fact of each artist's lyrics are very deep in the sense of trying to make you think about life and what to do with yourself, but still having a good mix in of songs with good vibes. It's nice to finally see something like this. These are my people.
This is one of the bands I listen to most.
When you say 'I thought I had 'the adhd' but that's a real thing and I'm just lazy'- that's similar to me. I think I have it but haven't got a diagnosis. It doesn't mean you're lazy. It probably means you have a bit of adhd, but not severe enough for a diagnosis, and it is a real thing, so it's not your fault if you find it hard to get things done when random things distract you!
AJR is currently mine, my mother's according to my little sister since I don't speak to her, and my little sisters favorite band. Always make me feel better in my crappy life.

i guess what i meant was don’t self diagnose yourself and not seek professional help.
for a long time i was really poor and couldn’t seek the help i needed either.
but i managed to get the right medication i needed, and i’m doing much better!

Dude there is an annoying kid in my class that always comes for me in mental situations (which he has none and is saying it for clout and sympathy) since I am usually the guy who helps people with homework in the class and IT’S SO ANNOYING. All I hear when I want to work alone is just “mY PaReNtS hAtE mE!!1! oMG!!!!!” Or “I haVe AD-Hd!!” Both things as lies since I saw his parents and they were very loving and he only came to that conclusion because they declined giving him an iPhone X and the ad-had part also a lie since he just straight up just sleeps through an hour of class each day and is only saying that for an excuse why he keeps getting D- s
@Brooke Testi Yeah, OCD can actually be pretty harmful.
Self-diagnosis is the first step to actual diagnosis. You can't get treatment if you don't think there's anything wrong with you. Though there is a point to be made about people throwing out terms they don't know enough about as jokes, like what someone else in this thread said about OCD.
A lot of people take years between figuring out something's up and getting diagnosed because it's so expensive! I've heard people pay, in some places of the US over 100$ per psychiatric meeting.
I live in Sweden and already had my mental health well documented and it still took 6 meetings before I got diagnosed with ADD.
After that I've needed 4 meetings more to figure out meds alone, and I'm likely gonna need many more because fun fact! People with ADD/ADHD have an 80% chance of experiencing mental illnesses in their lifetime! like depression, different forms of anxiety disorders like panic disorder, ocd, social anxiety disorder, and many more or even PTSD 🙃🙃🙃
