My father died because of heart attack Doctors said due to severe heart attack ventricular septal rupture is happening..pls explain about this condition is ventricular septal rupture happening because of heart attack???
Sorry about your father.. the VSDs discussed in this video are congenital, meaning they are present from birth. The type of VSD that occurs after a heart attack is also referred to as a ventricular septal rupture, and it's a hole created in the muscular portion of the septum that was previously intact. When you have a heart attack (myocardial infarction), you lose blood flow to a coronary artery supplying blood to the muscle wall of your heart. Depending on the artery that is affected, it could be a large part or a small part of the muscle that loses blood flow. This immediately begins damaging the heart muscle and usually results in chest pain or other symptoms that send you to the hospital and you get blood flow restored by medicine, stents, or a bypass, which can either reverse the damage or prevent further damage. In rare cases, if you don't have symptoms or notice that anything is happening and restore blood flow, the portion of the muscle wall that is fed by that coronary can actually die and atrophy away. If this happens in the wall between the left and right ventricles, it's a post-MI VSD and is a life-threatening complication of a heart attack. This heart which is not used to compensating for a hole in the septum suddenly has a significant volume of blood shunting from left to right, causing an acute form of the above complications, namely acute heart failure/cardiogenic shock and flash pulmonary edema, both of which can be fatal. I'm not a doctor, just an echocardiographer, but I hope this helps.
Sir, I am vijay, my son 15 day born baby. He has VSD 5 mm hole. And PDA 3-4 mm hole. So i so confused, fear waht will do please suggest me. Is the holes closer automatically. 🙏🙏🙏

Hi, Sir! I just saw your video today because I found out that my baby has Congenital heart disease, a ventricular septal defect perimembranous. She's 9 months old and doesn't have any symptoms as she looks normal, eats normally, and gains weight. Her VSD measures 0.34-0.45cm. Can it be closed without medication? Thanks in advance for your answer doctor 🤍
