I adore the simple voice -- and her legato and dynamic control. I would hesitate, like Scott Wallace, to make any comment on the volume of the voice, as it is closely miked. Her voice is lyric, not spinto, and Jaho is singing loudly to create a spinto effect. One commentator compared her voice to that of Olivero -- a good remark and very flattering for Jaho. One would need to hear her in the opera house live to be able to judge the size (and volume) of this voice. The less said about this video, the better. It's a joke -- what the hell is going on here, with the blue spotlights, and the camera panning around on a platform and zooming in and zooming out. With the gigantic displays of her face and the conductor on the jumbo tron, too, this makes one dizzy. More a circus than an opera performance.
One of the great singing actresses like Olivero. But where Jaho lacks in volume, she makes up for that by her sheer involvement in everything I've seen her sing. Her pitch here might be a little off at times, and she has a strange technique (mostly covered except for the top) , but she's always moving and I believe her!

Forse sbagliava...?? Ha ha

One closes one’s eyes. Additionally, whereas her gestures may fit the music rhythmically, they do not reflect the text very well.

Mosquito voice! Comunque bravi ai tecnici del suono
This aria can be only performed by Maria Callas...I'm sorry but this is my personal opinion
Or at least by someone with the right technique (low larynx)
It's not easy being a modern opera singer when the true greats just are a click away for comparison and the modern ones just falls flat.
