Oh so beautiful there! And the horses!!! Love them! I want to go pet all of them! Thank you for sharing about your beautiful country! Love all your videos!! ❤
My husband and I visited Hofsos in early July this year and absolutely fell in love with it. We ended up camping there by happenstance and then spent most of the next day in town swimming in the pool, visiting the basalt columns, photographing buildings and churches, and watching humpback whales play the fjord. It was our favorite town in Iceland and we loved its chill, no drama, lay low vibe. We were so sad to drive away.
Excellent footage & documentary on such a beautiful location! Thank you for providing this content! So looking forward to experiencing this in person! Please keep producing. Loyal subscriber......
Lovely views, great nature and geology, not at all dull. I am sure people will visit Iceland just thanks to you. But not too much in the special small communities I hope😉. Thank you again.
Did I just See Al Gore playing in the snow. The snow our Children would never See....lol Thanks so much for the video and info. I wish you All the best.
Thank you for the very unique footage of your beautiful country! We're visiting from Canada in a few weeks. Spending a week driving down from Akureyri to Reykjavik, through many little towns and villages. All of these northern spring videos as well as those showing the small villages that are off the beaten path are just the perfect source of information and inspiration! Can't wait!
We lived in a small village for years and it was a good place to live. The way you have portrayed it should bring many more to see it....(And who wouldn’t love to see more Icelandic horses!) I would visit it if I could....🙂
Hi Gylfi...looking at the infinity pool...mmm I do hope that it is heated...or a lot of folks could find their assets frozen...🥶 Yes couldn't be a catch all video without the horses or even sheep...🐎🐑💕 Hi from Scotland💌😁🖖✨
Most Icelanders (80%) are members of the Lutheran State Church. Another 5% are registered in other Christian denominations, including the Free Church of Iceland and the Roman Catholic Church. Almost 5% of people practice ásatrú, the traditional Norse religion.
Whats the situation with wild camping and fishing. Ideas for videos , traditional bushcraft and shelters, traditional food and clothing. I am in West Central Scotland where we are lucky to have the ability to roam the land and wild camp, unfortunately tourists have spoiled some areas on the west of Loch Lomond and that area now requires a permit between spring and autumn.
Thanks for the idea but here is a fishing idea: veidikortid.is but it's allowed to camp everywhere except on farmlands / fields but not many know of that laws. but I will be covering this topic of course, perhaps next summer :)
@@JustIcelandic Yeah, I figured it was youtube's fault. Anyway, the place looks so different with snow compared to when I was there last summer in September! It's crazy!
I visited Hofsos and went to the pool a couple of years ago. swimming there is one of my favourite memories from my visit, the views are spectacular.
Welcome :)
I LOVE this.
Welcome😁🖖
First class video once again, thank you.
Thanks again🙂

i think i would like it there...
Welcome to Iceland 😁
Awesome pools are they heated with volcanic heat. Good to teach everybody how to swim before they out into the boats. What are the religions there?
yes. elves and óðinn & þór/odin'n'thor.. or whatever fairytale you want to believe.

Brutaly Honest well say you as I know you do not tell tall tails or fib Spring Greetings from San Francisco to you IcelandicMan
Thanks you and greetings to San Francisco
Are there places for visitors to stay in Hofsos?
2 guesthouses registered there...you can find them online easily
@@JustIcelandic Thanks so much!
I tried to find the turf houses and the church at 6:18 on Google Maps, but couldn't find them. What is it called?
Those are in Glaumbaer 🙂
Yes it's one shot from there
@@JustIcelandic That's not even near Hofsos! ...
Do you have many visitors to Iceland in the winter?
Winter tourism is on the rise yes but still fat from it could be, especially outside the capital region, and welcome :)
You mentioned there was an elementary school in the village. How far would someone have to travel to get to a high school or college?
It would be in Sauðárkrókur, 30 min away...
