we own at GF....In my opinion Best DVC resort....Why? great dining options, proximity to parks, transportation, quality of the rooms, resort pools & things to do there.
Had the SAME monorail experience with the Grand. My first trip to WDW I was wowed and I said ‘someday I’ll stay there…’ - and now we own and have our first stay booked for July. SO excited!
What a great job the Grand Flo did to make it feel " So Disney" our kids loved the feel of the monorail right there..also the dining, pools and rooms were fabulous. A few years back they had a greeter (Richard) by the old car,he was so nice and represented the hotel in Grand fashion. We will miss him..Nice to have Pete back , he’s such a charming person and makes it so enjoyable to listen to his views…thanks
Paul, try to get a seat on the monorail in the morning to MK, and you have to wait for multiple monorail trains before you get a standing place at MK close, that was a big NA to stay there!
I’d be interested to see what Pete says about Narcoossee. We went in April and was disappointed. We’ve never been a fan of their steaks. Quality is just not as good as other places but the seafood has been great! My husband got surf and turf he was disappointed in the turf (he forgot it’s not top notch) and the lobster tail. I had the scallop dish and a lobster tail. The tail wasn’t that great and the scallop dish was okay. Grand Floridian.. our first home, absolutely love it!
Hey Pete, love your show. I think I better name for Moderna financial would be the dream makers or you could take a poll amongst viewers to see what would be a better nickname than crack dealers. Most younger viewers don’t know what crack is anyway that’s more of an 80s thing.
GF does everything Poly does and more I think better. It's just a observation. Theming may be the only thing of taste that makes Poly maybe better but Grand has got a lot better. I own Bay Lake so I visit both ha
My wife and I stayed there to celebrate our 5 th anniversary also but Covid happened and shut everything down then we went for 6 th instead and it was amazing Anniversary Celebratetion
GF is good in that staff is fantastic, the villa building is nicely laid out, food options but transportation is not good and Riviera has the location! And the skyliner is great.
Hi Jenny, hope all is well. I’ve stayed at the resort studio a couple weeks in the last year (separate months) …and was just there last month. There was no noise issue for us. Maybe they fixed whatever was wrong during your time there?
I heard voices when they came to the room nextdoor for about 12 mins. Maybe we were the loud ones but I was thrown off when in the building.... nobody around really and hallways were silent. AK was much much louder. I think it is a case where you may just get unlucky for a night or two.
I agree about GF overall. Love Narcoossee’s and Citricos. Am guessing this was pre-recorded as V&A was not awarded a Michelin star this latest go-round. I’ve heard a few theories as to why including there wasn’t enough time for the evaluators to visit multiple times and also that they may not score well in the value section as they’re priced more like 3-star spots. The next round will be telling, for sure.
New rooms are perfect. Also, even at Christmas it never seems crowded. The amount of space to the amount of people always seems great compared to most resorts. Some of the values are nice but the amount of people in the pools makes it hard to recommend.
I am sure the DVC side is okay but whenever we walk around the main hotel, we find most people very pretentious. This was during Christmas time prior to COVID.
And yet nobody talks about the fact that GF is short TWO pools. Should be FOUR pools at GF. Crowded, with no pool security, plenty of pool hopping going on. Crowed, can’t find a seat.
I have the say, the audio in this is absolutely awful. Paul goes from being quiet to super, super loud all the time. I’ve been a viewer for years but this made it hard to watch/listen.
Just got a BLT resale contract at 136/pt. 210 points. So excited !!

So great to have Pete back on a discussion
One of my home resorts. So beautiful! And I feel like royalty when I stay there. Just magical ❤
Pete is the BEST!
Spending a week in the new resort studios in June! Can't wait! It was 132 points. Not my home but was able to book at 7 months no issue.
Never stayed but I love it too....Always loved that kind of theming ..
Have a DVC contact because of this channel. 205 points at the grand. Love the resort and our contract.

Wow. Love Love how both lovely ladies described the resort!🎉 They sprinkled much needed pixie dust❤
They are starting work on the main building rooms, 1900 Park Fare and eventually the lobby.
Thank you! Heading to the Grand Floridian in September for the first time. ❤
Would love to stay there with DVC soon. But we try to get there for cocktails and dinner at least once per trip. It definitely feels special to us.
We are staying there for our 15th anniversary in October. Can’t wait!

That’s my home resort. Staying there for the first time in July.

We stayed there for our Honeymoon and we are staying there the end of June for our 31st Anniversary!
Narcoosies is wonderful
The Riviera is where the Disney executives stay when they are in town.

They know Pete so well, they pre stained his grand Floridian room. True story. 🫨🫢😝

the noise issue at the resort studios is a no. The original dvc building is the way to go!💜💚

Definitely pre-recorded because the walkway between GF and MK re-opened May 27.
Can someone confirm if the walking path to m k is open??? If it is not I am going to change my thanksgiving plan

Good morning
The Grand's not really my cup of tea, but in comparison, I'm sad that I'll probably never get to stay at Riviera with the resale restrictions.

It’s still impossible to get a room that doesn’t take your kids college $$$$$$$ away. The hotel is a 1 time deal after that not worthy of a point.
Grand is my least fav...blech. give me akl or bcv anyday
