This is such a great way for us to get to know the players. Absolutely love this new series, and thank you to the Sharks org for bringing Brodie back in such a fun way
I love that Askarov clearly loves the outdoors. He'll love the Bay Area and California. Seeing him explore Santa Cruz or Tahoe or the mountains. That's what life is all about here. Enjoying what the best the world has to offer in terms of climate and terrain and culture.
Great interview Brodie! This kid just like Celebrini are the real deal and just like we were lucky to get Evgeni Nabokov in the 9th round, getting Askarov in a trade is a true blessing. What a great interview and what a great personality, thanks Brodie keep up the great content!
Interesting that he’s a juggler. Shows that he has amazing hand eye coordination. Such a likable guy. He’s going to be one of the centerpieces of this team for the next decade.
Brodie this series is gold! These are some of the best interviews we've had from the team in years. Thank you for your hard work. Seriously, super impressed by the quality of every interview so far!
“The most smiling Asky”. Of course that’s the best part. Having fun and being great in the net (or way too far out of it! 😁) is a great time for the fans.
Great interview Brodie! If I can make one suggestion, when speaking to players were English is not their first language, give them a little bit more time to translate their thoughts in their heads
Askarov's superior puck-handling ability is risky but it really gives Sharks an extra man, a power play advantage almost if the opponent's goalie is not as good. He is an acrobat on skates and quick enough to recover when puck doesn't bounce right. He could also be among Calder Cup finalists if eligible. If possible, get the player a mike with stand like your own so he can wave around hands when expressing himself. Getting good audio in a cavernous arena must be technically challenging. The role of comedy in hockey, especially in creating greater team chemistry, should be interpreted more. The big role of luck in hockey means that you have to learn to laugh off your bad luck bounces and wait to see it happen to others again and again. Askarov is an intellectual in his approach, a great hockey thinker, studying the game and learning every moment. Mike Grier improved the level of hockey IQ on this team by getting Askarov, Celebrini, Smith and Graf. These players will learn together and teach each other more, no rush to development, we just need another Stanley Cup final within 4 years.
This dude is fun! Still learning to speak English and already putting down better interviews then 90% of the NHL.
Tank Talk is such a great addition btw thank you Brodie ❤
9:40 "I'm just so happy to be here" The feeling's mutual
I love that he celebrates his wins! Goalies don’t do that enough. I am so glad we are seeing “the most smiling Asky”. So happy he’s a Shark!
Love Askarov, very happy to have him! Had a chance to meet him in-person during those off-season fan meet-ups, he was awesome to talk to

I love how we got this dude because the Preds couldn’t tell the difference between an attitude problem and a personality
Not even a sharks fan but ain't that the truth 😂
Asky is such a beauty
I love this so much. It helps us to get to know the players better on a more personal level. Thank you Brodie and Sharks!
hearing you guys talk about nabby around 7:50 was great!
Stoked you’re back Brodie!
thank you
Yaro, the wait for a permanent goalie in SJ has been worth it. Can't wait to see you winning playoff games with Mack, Will, Ekky, Zetts and Shak!
TIMESTAMP your favorite part!
2:06 for me
Brodie this series is gold! These are some of the best interviews we've had from the team in years. Thank you for your hard work. Seriously, super impressed by the quality of every interview so far!

Man have I ever missed Brodie. The dude just loves sports and you can tell he loves being part of them.

I’m from Iowa . Been a sharks fan trying to figure out who’s jersey I’ll buy. I think I figured it out. 😅
Subscribed as a NYR fan that loves Brodie!
Aski has an open invite to the carne asada party!
Brodie + Asky = like even before watching! Thank you!
“I was really normal” the lie detector determined THAT WAS A LIE

I give him the nickname of "Nasty Asky." 😆
Askarov is GOATed
It's so refreshing he's not a robot lol
How do I convince Asky to play golf with me lol
Nashville is going to regret trading him. Great job Mike Greer… Celebrini was luck… this trade was inspired
Do the bench press!
Quibble: He is not a "countryman" of Nabby.
Why?
@ Nabby is from Kazakhstan
Nabokov is from Kazakhstan (sp)
