Massively excited for this film as a huge Scorsese fan. I'm really glad he's returning to his 'dark' side.

2013 was a great year for movies. movies that had good stories and less cgi.this movie was excellent.it was up there with dallas buyers club and 12 years a slave.hopefully 2014 will follow the same path.

After all the controversy surrounding this film, I'm even more excited to watch it. Scorsese knows how to make entertaining films about criminals without glorifying them.

+Tom Waits yes but the difference between this film and his previous crime films is that this one actually does glorify it, whether intentionally or not

would love to see the Kermode interview with Dicaprio from years back, it ended with Mark being patronising and a bit insulting to Dicaprio about Titanic, there was a bit of a pause from Leo but he took it with good grace, on the surface at least..

Kermodes version of the interview. Of course the fact that they never posted it does make you wonder who came across better in it.

Dicaprio is a brilliant actor in this and an intelligent person in general, but i have to say i didn't half want Jordan Belfort (the character) to sink with his yacht!!

Looks like it could be Leo vs. McConaughey at the Golden Baldies, ironically they star opposite each other briefly in this. Interesting thought.

Chiwetel Ejiofor may have something to say about that.

Haven't seen 12 Years, or Dallas Buyers, but Leo is phenomenal in Wolf. Guess we'll have to see.

McConaughey is sweeping it up at the moment. Ejiofor is indeed career-best...but so is McConaughey and so is DiCaprio reportedly (not seen The Wolf yet). McConaughey has the edge...just. I already love his comeback but it's undoubtedly the best performance I've seen from him (despite Mud being my favourite film of last year).

Well, I can't fault him for that. He did become more and more fascinating before that, say around 2006 after The Departed "Yeah, this guy has skills"
