Overall a skilled scorer. He's benefited a lot from playing with McDavid and about 3/4 of his goals are tap ins or one timers. If McDavid decides to become a goal scorer again this year and if he even puts up 40 this year, Hyman's numbers will go quite down (also because of his shooting percentage being very high). With that said he's probably gonna score 42 this year with 14 on the powerplay. So I could see Hyman getting 42 goals, 30 assists for 72 points.
I actually pretty much agree with everything you said including your prediction( my prediction is 45 goals, 28 assists so pretty close to yours) but Hyman does not need to be the 50 goal scorer anymore. Oilers just need him to work hard like he always does on the boards and on the forecheck. He is a pivotal 2 way forward on the Oilers and I appreciate his hard work more than his goal scoring.
@@CanucksNate ok, I’ll message NHL because those goals don’t count as goals I guess. Doesn’t matter how, where or when you score them, just matters if the puck crosses the goal line or not.
@@AlexTheOilersFan mmm what about regular season no hate on him, he’s good for what he does but it takes almost zero skill especially when you have McDavid passing so well that you can kick in in by accident and it’ll count
@@egg-g4j I mean, you are correct in that most of his goals are in front of the net and usually are tap ins, but it's his hard work and tenacity on the boards and on the forecheck that I would argue is even more important for his line and for the Oilers in general. Oilers do not really need him to score 50 this year. They just need him to play his game which is more than just tap ins.

@@CanucksNate You do realize your comment can apply to your entire Canucks franchise too, right? Canucks have been around since 1970 and still have not won a cup. Oilers joined the league in 1979 and the Flames joined in 1980. Both teams have won cups. Canucks are a pathetic franchise. On par with the Leafs and Sabres. The only reason the Canucks are not the laughing stock of Canada is because the Leafs last won in 1967.

Glad to see Hyman doing well. From a Leafs fan

He's underrated in my opinion, he's got elite any where but he's solid every where, skating, he's physical, solid shot, solid passer and play maker
He’s so good infront of the net it’s just hilarious.
Hes got great chemistry with mcdavid that allows drai to become full 2nd line centre. Very good player to have there
The last goal was the absolute best
Zach Hyman is amazing.
Amazing at only tap in goals 🤣

Zach Hyman can break my hymen any day.
Just tap it in
Florida 2 - Edmonton 1. Game 7. That is all.
What's your point?
Jesus Christ bro, I didn’t know it was this bad, I counted 20 goals of his 70 that weren’t tap in/deflections that’s crazy
Goal is a goal. You wish you could still have him in Toronto 😂
Someone’s mad he’s not on their team lol. Tips take skill btw

its disrespectful to mcdavid for hyping hyman this much lol
@SF1886I’m and oilers fan I agree he’s a tap in merchant but he has some skill but overall it’s all McDavid tbh

Tap in merchant
Dman having scoring 16 goals in the playoffs while the caps cant even have 2 minutes worth of goals in their playoff run

Game 7
They'll have to get rid of him to go all the way.
