- Fix stuttering in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 by reducing VideoMemoryScale from 90 to either 70 or 60. This stuttering fix is only relevant for GPU's with less or equal to 8 GB VRAM!
Right to the point as always! Amazing work!
Thanks!
This is the only thing that's helped me haha Thanks! no more stutter.....
Awesome!
I've tried every other fix for literally months, and this just fixed it for me! I'm running a 5900x CPU and a 3080ti 12gb with 32gb ram
Awesome!
My game has been stuttering for over a year, and no way this was the reason why. Appreciate it!
I'm a gamer of gamers. Ever since I bought an HP Omen 30L with an RTX 3080. 32GB of RAM during the plandemic(had no other choice at the time). All good specs. Still stuttering in COD games 🤦♂️
Game sucks.
Warzone 1 had no issues.
Not its terrible.
Activision doesnt care.
Played the game since launch day! I'm still getting stuttering it usually gets worse each game and most of the time on DMZ it's unplayable. Nothing has been fixed it yet. It's disgusting how the game can be in this state. I've got an RTX 3080 and I7 12700. Unacceptable
Turning on motion blur and weapon blur fixed all the stuttering issues for me, don’t know why but it worked.. this game sucks
@@kevsmorales8480 I finally fixed it
@@nimajneb6650 how did you fixed it?
@@future-9279 it took my months. I changed the amount of allocated VRam it was set at 85 default I think If I remember correctly I changed it down to 60. And bam fixed the stuttering I couldn't belive it! Months of anguish. It does actually say on that setting thou if set too high will cause hitching and stuttering
@@nimajneb6650I will try this rn
An additional note is lowering your render resolution (if you're using 4k or 1440p) greatly increases fps and may fix stuttering
but it looks awfull

Lowered to 85 - 90 should be ok, but image sharpening need to be enabled.
just use dlss or fsr 2.0
bro i'm hoping this is the issue, last nvidia update was actually really good and this issue wasn't there but with the latest nvidia update been getting ghost frames where it's completely skipping. I have a 10gb 3080 ftw ultra and i get some really bad stuttering hopefully this fixes it.
It kinda fixes it but not fully
@@rtxskillz6006 not quite sure if this is the video memory scale but it's 100% fixes the issue. With it at 90% your GPU runs normally but then has peak points where it stutters b/c it's trying to grab too much memory/resources. It's just the same with power spikes and why undervolting is superior. It just limits it to a normal level where the GPU doesn't go crazy. Yes i have mine set at 70% scale and it's perfect.
@@ivanr9408 ok thanks I’ll try it out 👍
Yeah it’s pretty bad. The biggest help for me is setting distant quality to low. If I set quality distant objects to high I get insane stutters with smooth fps and every 10-20 seconds pause for 3 seconds which is stupid.. it’s also the fact war zone doesn’t optimize at all because of course it’s EA
Thank you! I can’t believe this was the issue😂. What do you recommend on NVCP Shader Cache Size?
i was almost formatting my pc. this solution helped me a lot
Happy to hear!
Good work! Thanks :)
I wondered about this setting but never tested. More does sound better but I figured might not be. I’ll have to test this in 4k 12gb 4070ti
Bro.. this worked for me!!
Thank you!!!!
I’m new to pc & no matter what I change it stutter so much. It never happened on ps5. I have a 4090 & i9 13900k. Could I pay you to get me all set up?
Owww a 4090 your just showing off now haha
Best tip ever. What's your gpu?
Was on an RTX 3070 when making this short
@@TechGuidesim using a 3070 but only get 95-105 but it stutters sometimes hitting 120

I am going insane, for me its hard to classify as stutter, but I SWEAR to god on this MW engine, scenery and terrain textures stutter when moving in any direction even at locked 60fps and perfecr 16.6ms frametimes. Its so agonizing cuz it started for me on Cold War (both pc and xbox) and it never got fixed. Well, mw3 just came out and its doing the exact same thing (pc and xbox). Can someome confrim and tell me Im not nuts? Lock your fps, turn on Vsync, and use RTSS to lock frametimes. Now, load a day map like Invasion or afghan and without moving your camera (camera movement is smooth as butter) walk your character slowly leff or right near a wall with grafitti and pay attention to it, it wobbles/tears/stutters. It looks so fkng awful. Its not ping related and Im not referring to packet loss. The best way I can desrcibe it, it looks like frames are rendering fast enough to keep up with my refresh rate resulting in a 30hz frame update when I move around. The only thing that even slightly helps is motion blur and Ive been researching since cold war
this is the fix right here bois
Fixed it for me, thank you!
Perfect!
I pray this fixes my stutters cause I’m on a 4070 and Ryzen 5800x3D and even with V Sync it happens. Smoother but not even close to where it needs to be.
Are u running with normal textures?

Thanks so much!
I have a 4gb vram gpu, should i use 80? Its an rx 6500, it does run ok but sometimes i get crashes due to getting out of vram as i clearly see i get 3.9gb used
Turning on weapon motion blur completely eliminated my stutters when nothing else would lol, such a dumb game.
Thats such a weird fix but I've heard it from multiple people haha
This fixed it in wz1 too. Terrible cod games lulz
you are a life saver
holy frick I turned it from 80 to 50 and now it's actually somewhat playable!!! 2060 6GB here
Nice!!
I put mine to 1.45 in the config file and it seems to work well. I was having "Other apps" using too much vram. Did I do something wrong??

So I have a 3080 with 10GB of VRAM, default scale was 85, lowered it to 80 but should I really drop it lower? Using all of your other recommended settings from the most recent video as well if that helps

Good looking out! this fixed my in-game stutters! I thought it was some sort of CPU bottleneck, but after changing the scale to 70 (3080 10GB) - everything was fixed. 1% lows went from 60fps to 120fps @1440P

Stable 140-145 fps: horrendous stuttering, unplayable
150 fps: playable all of sudden
You're supposed to look at the graph under not the fps values you genius
@@Sharkcomet still no difference
Clearly he doesn't understand what is frametimes...
@@Henry_Da_Gamer Clearly you don't understand how stutterings works
The frametime graph (i.e. the white line to spell it out) shows excursions from roughly 6ms to about 50ms. Inconsistent frametimes (i.e. the time it taks a single frame to be generated) are VERY noticeably when playing.
Tried all solutions and it didn't work
But what works tho is switching to steam version
It is insane how no one talks about this on the internet
Because the Steam version runs worse for most people. At least that's the consensus on Reddit.
I put mine on 85, but if I look at the real-time vram usage it doesnt even get higher than 45 -_-
Thats good, you do NOT want too high VRAM usage ;)
How about a 3090ti? How does it work?

It should always be on max 65% or something like that, unless you're not in a low end gpu with like 4gb vram, in that case you want to bump it up to like 80+ but that's about it.
I'm on a 16gb gpu and currently on 50%, more than that makes no sense as for now

You can actually check your own systems vram utilization in the benchmark. It's in the end results.

Well did you try 70?
@@TechGuides I put the proportional to 3070, which you put 65, that is, in the 3080 it would be 72 and it was excellent, I didn't measure 1% low, but I believe it was good.
For 4gb rtx 3050??
What setting are you using
as i watching your video, you dont lagging, so why u making video how to fix lagging.
i have a 200hz monitor why am i at 50 fps pls help
A 200hz monitor will allow you to see 200fps but it’s not going to just give you 200fps lol. You still need a good enough pc to actually get that 200. If you only get 50fps right now you’re only seeing 50hz. Your pc parts is what determine your fps. The monitor refresh rate allows you too see those frames.

80 should be just fine for you

Why th fk my pc run 100% cpu and 60% gpu, does my pc bottleneck that much 🤒 i5 12400f + 3070

Best for rtx 3060 bro?
Run the benchmark with 90 and check the vram usage at the end, it's on the right hand side. Adjust the slider according to your result. Say if you get 50% utilization you put a value of around 55-60.
