I my situation, i forget Microsoft account password which account used as first log in, i suddenly changed admin to that account,my other became local, in local cannot run command prompt or anything, while change in that local to admin, windows asking forgot account password, what to now
So I tried the second method after watching your other vid and it didn't work. Basically I originally wanted to enable the admin account while hiding it from the logon screen. I tried to do this so I could add security and make it hidden because I never was going to sign into it anyway. Not I can't install things because the UAC pops up and I can't change the registry back without UAC permission. Please help me fix this and include a warning in your other vid. I really don't want to do a clean install.

When I try to load the hive in solution 2, it tells me that SAM is being used by another process. "Cannot Load X:\Windows\System32\config\SAM: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process."
I got an ASUS notebook with Windows 11 pre-installed. Non of your method worked. On the second method where need to change 11 to 10, I had a different from 11 code and changing it to 10 didn't solve the problem. Anyway, your knowledge is very impressive!

@@KapilAryaMVP, already done. But there still is a problem. Even if I am fully administrator I cannot add my user name to the full control members in the folder/properties/security/edit/add. When I go there, I see this user with full control access: "System". The add button is disabled. How is this possible if I am the owner of the bloody laptop???
see, i don't understand. I can open windows PowerShell, and go into the local users and groups. Except it literally says my account is in the administrator group, i can add or remove ppl. Yet i still don't have full admistration access. I can't open my winodowsfiles folders and so on..... I don't get it...

Hi Kapil I have tried everything you have showed and still my laptop issue is not fixed. I am not seeing anything on the C-drive, it is blank when I try to load hive. I have lost complete admin rights and what's even more concerning is I am not able to load C drive (root drive). I have nothing backed up and am extremely worried that I would lose all my content. Any help is greatly appreciated.

After entering key name (REM_SAM) I'm getting error saying the folder is inaccessible because it's being used by other process. How can I fix it?

one day last system restore point eg today is 25july it shows only 24 july system restore point
