- So, Bayonetta 3 just dropped.. AND ITS AMAZING. The combat IS WAYYYY more fun than I initially expected. I understand the hype now. As said in the video, if this video DOES manage the break 200 Likes, then I will make a full series on the game. I recommend Bayo 1 and 2. In these 2 games, you get to learn about Bayonetta. The first 2 games explain so much about the world Bayonetta lives in. You also learn about her magic, her personality, her backstory and also her clan.
Once you get around dodging the games gonna feel a ton better

If you end up liking bayonetta 3 and you feel the need for more, I really recommend you on checking the first two games after, since the gameplay is also perfect in those two, the combat haven't age a day since their release.
Also, consider this story as something separate from the first 2 games, since here we are playing as another bayonetta from another timeline, this game's story has nothing to do with the first two games at all. The first 2 games feel very connected to each other, bayonetta 3 is basically its own thing

@@codyblaskovich2726 It wouldn't make any sense if this "bayonetta" is the one from bayo 1 and 2, since it would create a lot of contradictions to previous events and characters, but it makes total sense if this was the grown up version of Cereza who met Bayonetta in the first game.
I even made a list with all the reason why I'm 100% sure that's the case
* Luka in the first two games has a scar on his forehead, scars don't disappear, but here, this luka only has a scar on his eyebrow.
* Luka calling Cereza "Cerezita" when he always knew her a bayonetta, that change feels weird and out of nowhere, unless this Cereza is the little one from the first game, who never forgot her name since she was never sealed away for 500 years. People here only should know her as "cereza"
* Cereza only having Madama Butterfly and Gamorrah as summons, when the original had a huge roster of demons at her disposal, including Malphas and Baal, which let me remind you, she had to make a contract with them again during bayo 3? making it seems like this was the first time she encountered then, when she already had them in the past.
* She didn't use Lebolas at all, when he was her main summon after Madama During Bayonetta 2.
* The fact that there was not a single reference of cereza having her 500 years slumber like it was said several times during bayo 1 and 2. It's not even mentioned in her official profile in game.
* Cereza in her teenager form having her umbran clock on her chest thanks to the umbran ribbon bayonetta gave to her as a gift in bayonetta 1, that only makes sense if this one was that Cereza.
*Not a single callback or reference to the events of bayonetta 1 and 2.
*The descritions of Scarborough Fair and Love is blue in The Gates of Hell "Scarborough Fair: Crafted by Rodin for another Bayonetta. these four durable guns are able to withstand the use of Bullet Arts."
* the callback to bayo 1 saying to cereza "you didn't cry while I was gone, didn't you"

@@Matiasfv while I can see this being the case, some of the proof here could be chalked up to redesigns in the case of luka especially since it's not just his facial scars that re different it's his entire facial structure. As for the Scarborough fair it could just be a bayo who still prefers to use them and doesn't ditch them like she did in bayo 2. She even has the exact same look even though it's way further in her timeline. For the Cereza stuff it can explained that luka is paying back bayo for never calling him his actual name. As for the teenage Cereza it's implied in the first game that bayo went through what cereza did for example her addiction to the lollipops luka gave her when she was a kid. As for the 500 years never being mentioned in game, yes that is true but it is mentioned several times in trailers.

I do think it looks great but Astral Chain and Nier Aut on Switch do look better. I think they prefered keeping the framerate high at 60, while those other games play at 30.

I’ve watched gameplay of the first and second game, I just never had a WII U to play the first one. But this was many years ago so I completely forgot about almost everything.

But, Both Bayonetta 1 and 2 are on Switch since 2018 if I’m not mistaken.
Wonder why you weren’t compelled to play them since then. Or at the very least, before playing Bayonetta 3.
@@Baal_in_Dark yeah ikr. They just jump on Bayo3 basing it on the story and the visual. But its the gameplay that needs you to play 1 and 2, the story is just an show case for what is going on gameplay wise. That is why they keep it a bit campy.
Not only that both games require multiple play throughs as well, and that is how you kind of grow into the combat system. I started playing Bayo 2 after playing 1 for atleast a year.
