Good advice actually. Later I even said on video "maybe I should have taken that water". Mine was in a 2liter bladder buried in my backpack and I didn't want to dig for it. Also even thou I was good at the time, I could have sprained an ankle and been out there longer than I anticipated or had a leak and lost my water etc, etc.
