The 'panic button' was probably already discreetly pushed. It was a 2-3 hour ordeal. Have sometimes seen a bus driver reluctantly do to a wild, out of control passenger. Have ridden a lot of buses in my life. Do not always see them to do this. Each 'panic button' is different. Sometimes, they have radios and there are secret codes. Usually the radios are for other bus drivers communicating things like road conditions, accidents to avoid and detours.

And still ignores global warming.
There's still a lot we don't know about the climate change effect on storm formation, but we do know the altered conditions on the track cause bigger and stronger hurricanes. Those would be record-high water temperatures in the Gulf about 2-4F above normal. That gives storms even more fuel. Helene would hit as a cat 3 without that but is probably a cat 4.

With regards to the bus hijacking: am I the only one who finds it ridiculous to watch the bus go down the streets followed by a funeral procession of law enforcement cars. Someone please explain to me what is expected to be gained by having a bus followed by 35 law enforcement vehicles I just don't understand what they expect to accomplish what does ridiculous looking maneuver. Looking forward to hearing a reasonable and logical explanation for this.

It makes no sense to say Trump is "better" on the economy. Prices being lower when he was in office 4 years ago means nothing. Prices were lower when Obama was president, too, 4 years before Trump. Prices always go up every year. The only cost that went down when Trump was president was the taxes he & the wealthy paid, after he lowered them.

I have my father’s baseball glove and his wooden Duncan yo-yo from when he was a kid. I also have his boy scout pocket knife. I’ve had them for years. He doesn’t speak to me anymore because of politics. But I do have those things that help remind me of better days for him……before MAGA took him and our family time away from our family. I will never get that time back but at least I do have a few things that I can look at that help me remember a better time……for him.
