    Please let me know what species I should target next. I have a few ideas from targeting Cracker, Poensies, Galjoen when season is open.

    Leka man, looks like fun! 🎉 I used to fish those Berkley camo worms without a jighead and use a dropshot rig or fixed rig and running trace with light ball sinker with a small no 7 hook. Caught grunter, stonebream, steenbras, and das with it. Tried with jighead once but kept getting stuck in reef or wasn't heavy enough always got bites in white foamy water casting into gullies. It worked extremely well for me in Eastern Cape, but for some reason fish don't love it much here in Cape Town and Overberg prefer natural baits. Apparently, works well in Breede not sure if water temperature makes a difference.

      @@FishFinder7965 was extremely fun, I want to try it in a different place where the fransmadams aren't a pest. I have a few spots in mind. But for now it I need to start focusing on shad and kobbies. Still trying to figure out what the audience enjoy watching.
      I want to go to the breede but I need to plan it well because we are moving into a rainy season.

      @@Surviving-RSA Struis is the place to be at the moment, since December it's been producing kob, elf, and geelbek mostly during the week for some reason. Haven't gone myself yet, but been keeping an eye on reports. Think it's because the chokka are in abundance at the moment. Tight lines, hope to see you land a big kob in your next video !👌💯

    what's your rod and reel setup?

    • @Surviving-RSA
      @Surviving-RSA  День назад

      @@chrismeier8066 The blue rod is an Assassin Tempest 7ft MH, the one with the white tip is an Okuma Matrix 8Ft MH.
      In this case I used the Okuma Inspira ISX-3000A Reel for both of them spooled up with 15lb grinder braid.

      @@Surviving-RSA your preference between 7 and 8 ft ?

    • @Surviving-RSA
      @Surviving-RSA  День назад +1

      @@chrismeier8066 it depends. For rivers I prefer to spin with an 7ft just because I would be spinning for a long duration or have ultralight tackle for the grunters etc.
      When it gets to surf and larger fish I will use 8ft and up specifically for spinning 12 ft would be the max the 12ft will give you more opportunities to land your bigger fish and cast your lures further.
      I just enjoy using light tackle since I have to play the fish rather than whinching it out.

      @@chrismeier8066 in this case 7ft is a lot more enjoyable since it is lighter in weight than my 8ft matrix
