Hi Pooja, I took a break from editing due to burnout & I'm still working on edits from earlier in the year, this was from May. It's been a very wet wet wet monsoon for sure. I have the date mentioned on screen at the bottom right, in the first scene of every vlog.
@@MagaliVaz hey! I'm sorry, I missed the date in the video. Noted for future reference. And I agree with other commenters, you should definitely vlog more. It shows a side of Goa that seems increasingly lost in the world of short-form content.
It is gettign really hard to find authentic food hangouts in Goa, and we tend to stick to the places we have tried and tested. The instagram promotions ruined my experience at three place when I visited 2 weeks back, where I went against my better instincts. Never again I will go against my senses, to such hangout which are described in short 30 second reels. This one seems more authentic and untouched by the Insta-community. Hope to make it to this place the next time I visit Goa.
Hard agree. I find that to be a problem with reels made for 'virality', not just in the travel / food space but also beauty space. Overacting, superlative statements win over content that has nuance. It's made for shareability but it ends up being a disappointing experience if you take the recommendations. Which is why, in my food reviews I try to keep them balanced & highlight the not so great as well, not to be negative but just to keep expectations in check. I have my grouses with Dinha's, I find their offerings to be quite basic. I'm at intermediate home chef at best & there's nothing on their menu that I couldn't recreate easily, so I'm not usually too keen to go to those kinda places because I like cooking & when I go to cafes, I wanna eat things that I couldn't / wouldn't be able to easily prepare. Doesn't have to be fancy, but slightly elevated. Then again, they know their niche which is simple, homestyle continental breakfasts which they do well enough, so I guess it's just a matter of personal preference in that regard.
@@MagaliVaz as long as Dinha's serve something close to English breakfast, or traditional Goan breakfast, I am sold...and hope not at exhorbitant price. A good English breakfast at Calangute costs about 2k for 2 people. Btw, do you know the place in madgaon market where a lady sells excellent home bibinca made out of 52 layers. Have heard praises from a friend, but the place has stayed a fable for me. Couldn't find it anytime....
@@nileshlog No south is definitely more reasonably priced for now. I haven't heard of this lady, unfortunately, we used to buy our bebincas homemade from a family person. I just trued googling too with no luck.
You should vlog more often Magali :)
I actually see Goa through your lens
liked the video even before i watched it , coz the cozy title it self just got me 💕
Oh man, this vlog made me want to visit South Goa again

Such a peaceful vlog. What month is this from? I'd have expected it to be rainier given monsoons.

Magali try this place called infant Jesus on the Colva road
We have been buying and eating from Infant Jesus for more than 15 years.
Have been buying from them since the year 2000 or so, Patshy. But I think we should make a video featuring them, mom.
oh wow, another lead.....
