It's not an FRZ, as my drone would not take off in those areas without first getting unlock codes from the relevant authorities, Cemaes and surrounding areas are restricted areas, so when you try to take off, you are made aware of the proximity of Wylfa, and you then tick a box that you do not intend to fly over Wylfa.. As you can see in the video the drone didn't go anywhere near Wylfa,
@@malltraeth100 DJI have removed the restrictions on drones so will still take off in frz now (stupid imo) so is it legal to fly here? This restriction zone has always confused me and looking online I’ve not found much information about it, drone assist says to contact valley
@@TMA_Droning@TMA_Droning It will take off, but it's up to us to be sensible in our actions. Yesterday, I recorded as part of my involvement with the event. If I am doing stuff around Valley or Mona, then that's a different story. There is no way it will leave the ground unless I get the codes. Did the controller ask you to tick a box when you were at the brickwork? sometimes it does other times it doesn't and that's the problem.
@@malltraeth100 I know someone who’s flown in the valley frz and took off no problem with a DJI mini 4 (he didn’t realise he was inside) I’ve never had a box come up at brickworks I have in other places like football stadiums etc
Lovely footage, thanks for sharing.
Who did you get permission off to fly in this area as it’s a FRZ
