Nice to see you’re still on the scene, dude! Those cases would be sweet to have on the workbench. I almost never find PS1 games without cracks or chips.

Great video man. I plan on doing this exact thing with my collection eventually. I'm going to shine up all of my games that really need it.
    18:06 damn 😭😭lol

That Alien Trilogy had what looks like 2 circles that held the manual in place. Just wondering if some PS1 games had that.

Yes, I went through about 40 of my old cased games this morning. Half of them had those 2 dots and the other half had just one dot by the middle edge. The new cases I bought all have the one dot, which I like better. I think it gives it a cleaner look.

I took it to the next level and put all my games in poly bags...keeping my cases pristine...you can find poly bags for multiple disc games such as ff7 as well

I do PS1 case swaps but I'm picky about replacement cases - i want the spindle clip to match the original one that was used in the original production run, which is usually one of 3 types with PS1 - the 6 spoke wheel, the radial 12 teeth, and a slightly less common concave dome with I think 6 teeth.
Then there are the double disc chasses - some with one clip, some with two, I think there may even be blank ones
Then there are the PS branded inserts for some double disc cases which have slight variations
Some shell pieces don't even fit inside chassis parts at all
It starts to get real messy real fast

Plus the manual retaining nubs on the front cover. I can only find 2 bar replacements. Can't find the 2 nub (circle, horizontal, and 'T' shaped). New cases that is. All PS1 cases can be replaced with music CDs.

i did the same to 75% of my collection. Went to 2nd hand stores and bought up all the cds 20 for $2 and shit...way cheaper then amazon....swapped cases..now i have 247 mint looking ps1 games....also if you just twist the case..the cd holder will pop right out...saves you from breaking half them lol

If had to pass up good finds manuals & disc wise just cause the jewel case is in such shambles. Although I appreciate the seller not tryna reshell it & act like they didn’t; I absolutely would’ve preferred to have a perfect jewel case at home that I can switch all the contents to!! I’d have a Diablo for PS1 if that were the case
I will most certainly be doing this to the couple dozen PS1 titles I’ve got. I wonder what to do about the Metal Gear Solid’s or Riven.

I'm currently looking into that right now. There will definitely be a video coming soon about it. I have quite a few pricey double case games I need to replace, especially for the Ps1.
