Good morning ❤ I hope you enjoy today’s video. I realized after filming that the Blanc Perle swatch does not do it justice on camera. In real life it is pinky and pearlescent 🤩😍 Which shades are the most interested for these new shadows? And, mostly importantly, what are your thoughts on shrinkflation hitting Chanel?
I think it's a robbery. Pretty ugly of a respected high end brand. I love Chanel but I love the truth even more! 😉 I think I'll skip buying it but I'm here for your interesting takes on it. Cleaning and listening to you atm 😊 Could listen for hours 😄 Thank you ❤
@@Ida-no3zy It really is. It's one thing if they want to increase the price but doing so AND decreasing the quantity - yikes. Is Chanel broke or something?
Great swatches Allison! Thank you for showing the difference between the Talpas. I might have to go back for the new version as I really prefer neutral-cool shades. Today I picked up 238 Quartz Fume and Blanc Perle. Can't wait to play with them tomorrow! Both sides look beautiful on you😍💜
I love both looks really. I cannot wait for the Lilas color to arrive though. I think I am more into that. They definitely think we are idiots and buy buy buy with eyes closed. I sometimes think of myself like that as I end up having the same color from three different high end brands haha. Anyway, this is everywhere, they decrease the quantity and raise the price. That is why I am buying less and I don't think it is because of the ingredients as with what they use now you are supposedly to throw them away sooner than before. Of course I do not do that. I keep powdery eyeshadows for years to be honest.
I love the lilac side! It also looked beautiful as a one and done. Thanks for the talpa swatch comparison, on camera you could really see the chalkiness of the old formula. I thought I could just get the old formula and save some money but the extra $5 is worth it for that shade. Would love to see it swatched next to nude dress next time! 💜
I love both looks but I like the one shadow only because it’s so practical. The other one with the beautiful combination is a show stopper! As you can tell I can’t choose just one! Thank you , great job as always!🥰
I'm on my second round of Talpa and love it. Sable is handy too. I just checked out the new eyeshadows locally and wow do they sparkle. A little too much for me for a few of them. However, is the oversized blush/bronzer/highlighter really oversized? The samples in store were of a normal like size for that type of produce. And yes it's like groceries. Less produce and increased price. Boo. I like both looks. Thanks.
Ridiculous price! I’m boycotting Chanel and companies who are increasing price for less! Yes they mustn’t realize we are there bread and butter and think we are stupid!. I love watching you do your makeup but I can’t support the brand anymore 🦋 look #2💐
I bought Talpa again and I so agree, the new one is lighter and creamier. I also picked up the sable one as well. I love the bronzer pallet, I used it today! Gorgeous.
I love telpa as well. The lilac is gorgeous on you though! Thanks for the video. The price increase is crazy and they’re making it very difficult to justify the purchase.

@@AllisonChase I do not think that Mme Chanel would approve of this treatment of the clients. She grew up poor and understood innately the importance of the luxe experience and how it soothes the soul.
Both sides are lovely on you but I vote brun talpa! I'm definitely buying one - Brun Fauve really appeals to me. Have you seen it in person and if so, would you say it's chocolate brown, not too red? I also like Quartz Fume & Beige Suede. Great review and yes shrinkflation is everywhere - food etc too. But I think given the amount in the singles now is nearly the same as the quads (2g), it's good to get a colour you love and will actually use at a lower price point than the quads! The weight on these singles seems to vary by the shade for some reason, at least on Chanel's website!
Oh that’s so interesting! I hadn’t thought of the weight of the quads. In that case, like you said it’s good to find one that you really love. But I’m still disappointed that it’s less than the original for more money. I remember swatching the Smokey Quartz and it was pretty I just didn’t want 5.
@@AllisonChase Yes of course, I understand it's disappointing and inconsistent. Yep at that price 4 is enough, prices are insane, could get a palette from another brand for the price of one Chanel eyeshadow single! 🤣 I'll just buy less or nothing at all the way they're going.

The Jade is also extremely samey to another dozen shadows I own 😅otherwise the lilac is also not unique sooooo....if you own a good number of quads you just don't need it 🤷
Hi Allison! Love both eye looks! I picked up the medium rose gold palette, thanks to your advice ❤. I’m curious to know if the Talpa eyeshadow is nicer than the Mitzah from Dior. I’m debating which one to buy. I love one and done eyeshadows!❤️. Would love to know your thoughts. Thanks!
Kind of frustrating that we’re paying more for less when the shades aren’t that pigmented. Definitely think there are some indie brands that have similar products for a better price. One that comes to mind is Sydney Grace.
@@AllisonChase maybe, but I think products change every year or so just to encourage us to keep buying. Definitely saw a shift from complexion to eye makeup because we were working from home back in 2020-2022, also focused on skincare. Now more brands are releasing skin tints (light-medium coverage foundation), blushes and lips products. Palettes seems popular but I think that’s only within the beauty community, so many neutral and cool tone everyday palettes being released by mainstream brands.
Both eye looks look wonderful on you. I ordered the grey and jade (with the idea of layering) and the topper white shade to transform everything. I am now tempted by lilac and talpa. I have the Mare from Chantecaille which one of my favorite summer shades - so glad you did the comparison - they are definitely different. Now ... will they introduce a light blue?!!!
Have fun! I think that the layering idea is wonderful. Let me know how that goes. I’m glad that it isn’t a perfect dupe for Mare so now I get to enjoy both 🩵💚

It is fresh! I can’t wait to try out that mascara. I tried the new Comète perfume, I liked it but didn’t love. I’m surprised that I liked it at all because their exclusive line is usually not my jam.
@@AllisonChase yeah I tried it on for fun, didn’t actually think I’d like the look of it on me but it’s a fun daytime color! yeah Cometé smelled nice on me but not $500 nice 😂😂😂. i wouldn’t mind a sample but it’s quite a soft, feminine scent. on the bright side i wouldn’t want 200 ml beast mode either so i suppose it makes sense to make an easier to wear scent. but it’s also less special imo. and true, i’d love to check out the larger line at the Atelier in NY but so fair the core line for me is also just okay. Gardenia is maybe one of the nicer ones to me. i’m so glad I got my Dior one before the price hike and i think removal of the smaller bottles?
I picked up the lilac, Mitzah, pearl, and burgundy. I think they will be beautiful in pairs and your looks were gorgeous too. I skipped the green. I have a similar color in the new Dior quint. I also ordered two of the face palettes, both deep colors. Even though I am light, I liked those blush colors the best and I hoped the bronzers would be cooler. One can always hope!
@@AllisonChase I don’t know what it is with these luxury brands and their orange bronzers. I’ve had to declutter SO many of them. Bronze skin is one thing, but ORANGE!?! Ugh. You’d think they’d figure out that Tom Ford Terra and Gucci 01 are favorites for a reason.
I wonder if the chanel green 222 gade facette color has any similarity to the green shade in cle de peau eye color quad 304 I remember you did a review on that palette back then
I’ve been wearing purple eyeshadow for years, probably when it wasn’t even in style. I’ve always gotten compliments when I wore purple eyeshadow. I’m going to vote for the lilac look💜
Hey Alison glad you mentioned about the shades Talpa .. you got me on that shade a while ago and I did wonder the difference.. have a lovely weekend xx
My daughter is getting married in August & her flowers r wisteria & sunflowers. So the colors r lavender/lilac & yellow. Her fiancés mother is wearing a yellow dress. I just purchased mine & it’s a very light lilac. So far, I’ve purchased the purple tweed pallet, the new lilac eyeshadow stick from VIEVE and now I’m contemplating on purchasing this lilac color. I told myself when the eyeshadows were released that I was going to purchase the lilac color. The purple tweed is totally me. I love it & I will hit pan on those shadows, but my daughter gave me a big “NO.” The VIEVE eyeshadow stick is a little too pastel for me, but very pretty & the directions say that it can be used as a primer or base to layer an eyeshadow over it or wear alone. You may want to consider trying it since the Fenty creased on u, plus this would be a very nice stay put base/primer. My daughter wants me to go all neutral w/my makeup, but I think I can get a makeup artist to incorporate a little lilac in the look and we can compromise, bc my dress is a classic Calvin Klein dress, that in my opinion is pretty timeless. I’m going to bite the bullet & buy the lilac bc it matches the best, even though it’s darker than my dress. Fingers crossed my daughter will let me add a little color to my makeup. For me, this past month I’ve spent entirely too much money on purple eyeshadow.
CK is definitely timeless and a great choice for a wedding. I hope you end up wearing the makeup you want for the big day. What an exciting event to look forward to this summer 💜
Eye shadow is an entirely personal choice. It is not akin to the dress and flowers, where your daughter's wishes dictate. When it comes to makeup, your normal good taste--which it sounds like you possess in abundance--should hold sway.
I choose Talpa. I tested these bronzers. The bronzers in the light coral and rose gold are less orange than in medium coral. The darker bronzers are too dark for medium skin even with a light hand. The formula is lovely but these colours thrown together don’t make sense. Nevertheless, I picked up rose gold because the blush and bronzer go well together. The highlighter is just a lighter shade of bronze. Hope this helps someone choose.
The palette shades make absolutely no sense. It's almost like they threw them together hoping that people would buy multiple ones to create the perfect palette.
While both look gorgeous on you I think that the purple eye is the standout 😊 I got a couple the other day and tried the green one, within a few hours I had no colour on my eye and glittery particles all around it 🤷🏼♀️ no idea why.
love your videos!!!!! Heres my question?...in the natasha denona Retro glam palatte there is a color Marlin.....a frosty/gold green...i wonder if its like the Jade facette..it looks identical ...
My vote is #2 💜 of course on you both look great. I have so many versions of the brownish color from the Chanel eyeshadow palettes that I couldn’t resist and got the Lilas Poudré yesterday at the Atelier here in NYC. As makeup is for playing 😉 I mixed today Cornflower from Victoria Beckham, Lilas Poudré from this new edition, as a topper I used Clair from de Parure Baroque palette and Sephora’s Shimmer Plum eyeliner. It is so much fun…I get my inspiration from you. Thanks Allie 🥰 I forgot, I am dismayed at the price increases, one single eyeshadow and one Rouge Coco $96…I get is luxury but is getting really ridiculous.
Both look great and both can be everyday looks for different times of the year. Can you compare mitzah and talpa to the brown shades in the Dior 2023 Eden Roc quint , TY!
Bonjour ,Ally c'est très joli sur vous mais pas vraiment extraordinaire il semble que les swatchs Chantecaille sont plus saturés en couleur ainsi que Dior
Hi Alli, both looks are beautiful. I would wear both looks anytime & anywhere….Cant wait until i can get mine. Regarding Shrinkflation….that is a cheeky of Chanel to do that to us at least keep the same amount of product but then Chanel know we will still go out and buy it anyway so they have got us over a barrel anyway🤷🏻♀️.
Hi Allison, For me I like Beige Sable, Brun Talpa and Brun Fauve plus the topper. All together will be an ideal neutral quad. You look good with both but I know I will never wear Lilas Poudre because I don’t like it for me. They are expensive but the quality is good. I compared in store tisse rivoli with these new single eyeshadows and definitely they are more pigmented and creamy than the quads. Plus the quantity of a single eyeshadow is almost the same with a quad -1,9g vs 2g. Other thing is if you go with the singles you can pick the shades you like and use all of them in comparison with a palette where is possible to use just 2 shades or so. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
Allison, love both eye looks but I’m drawn to the lilac because I love purple on you. And that topper shade is magical I need to get. And not happy with increase price and decreasing product. Will that make us stop buying the product maybe but probably not 😆. Thank you for the demo & swatches! Have a great weekend! 😊💜
Beautiful look. I dare you to go out with 2 different eyes? 🤣🤣.love the look on you. I cannot vote as I love both. The topper is absolutely stunning and unfortunately the camera does not pick it up but all who read this it is fantastic. The Chantecaille Mer was from the Positano collection . That was a fantastic collection. Yes shrinkflation is pretty bad. It is unfortunate for sure. Cannot wait to see another video. Thanks. 💜💜🩷🩷
Oh I did go out with 2 looks 🤣 I film my videos in the mornings and then go about my days so if you see me do 2 looks, then there is a very good chance that Montreal was subjected to my 2 separate makeup looks that day.
I love the lilac.I too, love colored eyeshadows. I went a little crazy and bought the lilac, green, yellow, pink orange, and I’m going to add the topper shade. Bought the lilac mascara also.
Thank you for the review! Three of the colors you reviewed were the three I had in mind. I’m just glad they are permanent and I don’t have to run out for them. It’s nice having time to decide the ones I really want…..that purple tho!!!!!💜
We need a single eyeshadow "tournament" or something! No idea how to call it LOL but comparing all luxury single eyeshadows your own, the specificities of the formulas, etc.
Allô Allison, Beige sable est celui que je rachète le plus alors je veux essayer la nouvelle version, j’aimerais aussi Quartz fumé, Gris Paris et. Beige suède qui m’intéresse 😉🥰
I love both. I have beige mitzah which i love. I think I'm most interested in the Lilac and the pearly topper. That colourful look is stunning on you. I have a similar eye and skin tone to you so I think it'll be suitable as well. Thanks for a great review 👍
Hi Allison! I like both sides but the lilac side is more summery whereas the taupe side is neutral and all-season - and both are daytime appropriate. Thank you for demoing and reviewing these 4 shades.
Love both looks especially the lilac, jade and pearl combo 💜 looking forward to trying these out myself and appreciate a one and done on a work day for a more effortless look. Have a great day
Ciao preferisco il color talpa anche se adoro gli altri due e li prenderò tutti e quattro aggiungendo il color sabbia.Non prenderò il top coat perché sto utilizzando quello della palette occhi nataliziia che trovo stupendo.Un abbraccio
Love both looks, especially the Violet one. I will be rewatching this video tonight! I still have three of the older singles: sphinx, bamboo and tantam. 💜
For me beige Mitzah is too close to Talpa to own both - i’ll love them both, but think i’ll finish the Dior and then maybe replace with Chanel. The lilac is so pretty i just can’t imagine really using it, but the swatch and see will make up my mind. Blanc perle is a must-have kind of shadow, but again i have a VERY similar Dior mono, so i’ll (almost) finish that first first before purchasing Blanc Perle - plus the recent Rivage eye palette also has that shimmery white shade (will have to compare in person though to assess similarity) and i got one of the Rivage palettes (yay!). This green looks so gorgeous, i might pick that up (once they finally get to SA) - i know from the Byzance last year you only got Parure Cristal, but i got myself the Parure Venitienne and the whitish shimmer in that palette really gives this green shimmer (on my skin at least) and that’s why i chose this palette from the collection specifically) so it might be somewhat similar to the Jade Facetté, however i think the shade from the Byzance palette would probably be more like if Blanc Perle and Jade Facetté had a baby - can’t wait to swatch all and compare in store - at least these ombre essentielles are for once not limited edition so there’s time to decide. Also prefer the more cool toned shadows like you (soo tired of red and brick orange etc!) so thank you so much for this review, think i have a good idea what to expect and look out for! The only other colours i miiiight be interested in is sable and there is this light pink shade - i tend to like and use that type of shade a lot, if it’s in a palette that’s usually the one that’s used most for some reason 💁🏼♀️ shrinkflation is ugh, but the brand knows it wont stop the true Chanel lovers from buying so alas…

i’m so glad I got my Dior one before the price hike and i think removal of the smaller bottles?
I picked up the lilac, Mitzah, pearl, and burgundy. I think they will be beautiful in pairs and your looks were gorgeous too. I skipped the green. I have a similar color in the new Dior quint. I also ordered two of the face palettes, both deep colors. Even though I am light, I liked those blush colors the best and I hoped the bronzers would be cooler. One can always hope!
One can always hope! I was wishing they would at least be neutral. Maybe next year? 😅
@@rabbiroz3806it’s my favourite ❤ I don’t whah the kick is now for such warm bronzers. I’m so glad I have Terra 😂
I wonder if the chanel green 222 gade facette color has any similarity to the green shade in cle de peau eye color quad 304
I remember you did a review on that palette back then
Ooh yeah I remember that one. Good question! I’ll have to swatch them side by side.
Both are super gorgeous looks, Ali! I picked up the face palette and am passing on the single eyeshadows.
Great choices 💜
I’ve been wearing purple eyeshadow for years, probably when it wasn’t even in style. I’ve always gotten compliments when I wore purple eyeshadow. I’m going to vote for the lilac look💜
I always get lots of compliments when I wear purples too 💜
Hey Alison glad you mentioned about the shades Talpa .. you got me on that shade a while ago and I did wonder the difference.. have a lovely weekend xx
Aww I’m so glad to hear that. It’s a gorgeous one and done.
I love that lilac shade.💜
Me too 😍🤩
Hi Allison. Where did you get these eyeshadow here in Canada? Thanks
I got mine at Holt Renfrew in Montreal.
@@AllisonChase exactly!
You always present things so well. Great comparisons and swatches.
Thank you so much 💜💜💜
While both look gorgeous on you I think that the purple eye is the standout 😊
I got a couple the other day and tried the green one, within a few hours I had no colour on my eye and glittery particles all around it 🤷🏼♀️ no idea why.
What? That sucks. Did you use a primer beforehand?
@@AllisonChase I didn’t no, just eye cream so I will be trying with primer next time
You can always find a low budget in the same colour
True!
Dior, несомненно лучше, мягче, переносится цвет без проблем, жирный👍, шанель, как мелки детские для асфальта... 👎
Thanks for sharing 🥰🥰🥰
I'd wear look 1, but look 2 is fab on you!!
Oh thank you! Look 1 is pretty universal.
We are stupid! I am stupid. But i really love the shit
😂🤣
love your videos!!!!! Heres my question?...in the natasha denona Retro glam palatte there is a color Marlin.....a frosty/gold green...i wonder if its like the Jade facette..it looks identical ...
Hmmm good question! I’m pretty sure I do not own that palette unfortunately.
Love both looks ,but talpa is my favorite ❤
Thank you 😊
The purple are a little bit better But both eyes are pretty
Thanks!
I love the Lilac, very pretty. Thank you for teaching me how to apply the Lilac. Anne
You are so welcome Anne 🥰🥰
My vote is #2 💜 of course on you both look great. I have so many versions of the brownish color from the Chanel eyeshadow palettes that I couldn’t resist and got the Lilas Poudré yesterday at the Atelier here in NYC.
As makeup is for playing 😉 I mixed today Cornflower from Victoria Beckham, Lilas Poudré from this new edition, as a topper I used Clair from de Parure Baroque palette and Sephora’s Shimmer Plum eyeliner. It is so much fun…I get my inspiration from you. Thanks Allie 🥰
I forgot, I am dismayed at the price increases, one single eyeshadow and one Rouge Coco $96…I get is luxury but is getting really ridiculous.
Ouf! That is steep. I think Chanel is trying to make themselves be even more luxury than the rest.
Both look great and both can be everyday looks for different times of the year. Can you compare mitzah and talpa to the brown shades in the Dior 2023 Eden Roc quint , TY!
Oh that’s a good idea. Thank you for mentioning that one.
No 1 is my jam🎉🎉
Nice! It’s certainly the most universal shade.
Bonjour ,Ally c'est très joli sur vous mais pas vraiment extraordinaire il semble que les swatchs Chantecaille sont plus saturés en couleur ainsi que Dior
Oui tu a raison. J’aime les couleurs, mais ils ne sont pas aussi saturés.
I love both looks Allison 💚🩶I am picking up the jade color and maybe Talpa and topper shade. Love the lilac too. 😊❤
Good choice! I love your choices 💜🩵
I love both looks on you! Thank you for the review. Def getting the lilac shade and then 1 more… can’t decide!!
Good choice! It’s hard to chose 🤷🏻♀️
I’m getting the Talpa and Blanc Perle.
My vote is for the Talpa eye of course but both looks are lovely.
Thanks for the demonstration.
My pleasure. I knew that Talpa would be a crown favourite.
👍🏻👍🏻
🤍🤍
Hi Alli, both looks are beautiful. I would wear both looks anytime & anywhere….Cant wait until i can get mine. Regarding Shrinkflation….that is a cheeky of Chanel to do that to us at least keep the same amount of product but then Chanel know we will still go out and buy it anyway so they have got us over a barrel anyway🤷🏻♀️.
What a great expression 😂
Hi Allison,
For me I like Beige Sable, Brun Talpa and Brun Fauve plus the topper.
Same to you! I like the idea of creating your own custom quad. Overall, the new formula is definitely an improvement.
Thanks so much Lora 💜💜💜💜💜💜

💜
I also got the lilac mascara, can't wait to try it out.
Thank you for the review! Three of the colors you reviewed were the three I had in mind. I’m just glad they are permanent and I don’t have to run out for them. It’s nice having time to decide the ones I really want…..that purple tho!!!!!💜
You are so welcome! 💜
I also picked up four shades, the same ones as you except brun talpa. Got the matte grey instead. Love playing with them!
💜💚🤍🩶
That grey one looks pretty as well 💜
Excellent video. I’m definitely getting the Blanc Perle and probably the pencil brush. Thanks again for your input and inspiration. 💜💚🤍
Glad it was helpful! I hope you enjoy the products.
We need a single eyeshadow "tournament" or something! No idea how to call it LOL but comparing all luxury single eyeshadows your own, the specificities of the formulas, etc.
Hmmm great idea! What should I include in the review/comparison?
Hi Ally,
I love both looks but the lilac is my vote. Stunning. It’s ironic, I purchased the same shades. Have a great weekend! Lisa xo
Thank you! You too! 💜💜💜💜
Hi Ally, You always look stunning. Thank you for another great video, Take care. Gill 🇬🇧 xoxo
You are so welcome! 💖💖💖
I love both. I have beige mitzah which i love. I think I'm most interested in the Lilac and the pearly topper. That colourful look is stunning on you. I have a similar eye and skin tone to you so I think it'll be suitable as well. Thanks for a great review 👍
Thanks for sharing!! 💜💜
Hi Allison! I like both sides but the lilac side is more summery whereas the taupe side is neutral and all-season - and both are daytime appropriate. Thank you for demoing and reviewing these 4 shades.
I think so too! Can't wait to wear it again 💜💜
💜 I love both looks but my favorite is the lilac! The face palette mixed together is so beautifully luminous on your cheeks 🧡
Thank you! I love mixing the palette too, especially the bronzer and highlighter shades.
Love both looks especially the lilac, jade and pearl combo 💜 looking forward to trying these out myself and appreciate a one and done on a work day for a more effortless look. Have a great day
Thanks Tiffany 💜 Same to you!
Great review, Allie! I'm excited about the new Chanel singles!
Me too!!
Ciao preferisco il color talpa anche se adoro gli altri due e li prenderò tutti e quattro aggiungendo il color sabbia.Non prenderò il top coat perché sto utilizzando quello della palette occhi nataliziia che trovo stupendo.Un abbraccio
Thank you so much 😊 The taupe is shade is very easy to wear 💓
Love both looks, especially the Violet one. I will be rewatching this video tonight! I still have three of the older singles: sphinx, bamboo and tantam. 💜
Oh those were such pretty ones! Thank you Heidi 💜💜
I ordered 5 🙈they start arriving tomorrow. I really, really love singles, so this is right up my alley!
Hope you enjoy it!💜💜
For me beige Mitzah is too close to Talpa to own both - i’ll love them both, but think i’ll finish the Dior and then maybe replace with Chanel.
That is so true about everything. At the end of the day, it’s Chanel. It’s luxury. It was always meant to be unattainable.
@@AllisonChaseChanel is all about exclusivity, so yes to what you said and i’ll always love and purchase from Chanel regardless…
I like both looks but prefer #2. ❤ I ordered that green too. Can't wait to try it
Hope you like it! 💚
I love both eye looks on you! you make me want to buy them all :)
Thank you so much ☺️
I love both ❤
Thank you 💜💜
