Really? You're going to cook scallops fast and furious without a mise en place for the rest of the dish? By the time you get done cutting, the scallops will be toast. I cry foul on this video. I feel sorry for those that try to do this cook.
I hate to be “That Guy”… but, the camera never cuts until plating. We shot this in real-time. Large Scallops like these are 1.5-2 Minutes per side and then they are done. That’s plenty of time for a bit of knife work and sauce making. Don’t feel rushed or stressed, you’ve got plenty of time to work on the fly my friend. If it makes you feel better, make the sauce before you cook the scallops.
@@ItsAPartywithNateandCJ OK. I can see this. My take is scallops cook very fast. Why wouldn't you have everything else prepped before you started the cook? I'm an old school mise en place cook. People are going to follow this cook and get sorely behind the scallops as they slice and prepare the sauce. You might want to consider the beginner audience.
