This is an updated version, I fixed some of the lyrics and used much better quality audio from Louisville KY concert, still not sure about the verse "Caligula would grin" at 3:30 though, it doesn't sound quite right... if you figured out that part, please let me know, thanks!
I've heard it and figured it out. Not for me to put you there if its not for your understanding yet, so a good vocalist with training knows I'm not about sharing that either.thank you for your tool dedication though.
Such a melodic but powerful song at the same time. The message is clear in this song; you might have been great at one point in life at something but you have to learn to evolve and progress. No matter how many stories you tell about who you once were it’s still in the past...keep writing your story
58 years and just discovered Tool. This song in particular affects me. I’m sure there are different interpretations to others, but for me it is about my fading youth and confidence. I miss the man I used to be, or at least the man I thought I was.
This always makes me think of my best friend who I lost in 2019 a week before the release of FI....both of us massive Tool fans and had our fair share of psychedelic experiences to Tool. I miss him so much but any time I hear this I know he's listening with me
It is "Caligula would grin". All you need to do is watch the movie Caligula. He did some sick shit. Hence the reference. Caligula would admire the shit the warrior has done.
Weapon out and "Belly in" its a song cherishing their baddle of fame. It's about them getting old. It's a solute to themselves. Caligula would grin. Look up Caligula's stories. Please you're missing it.
@@timdoyle3065 ... Tool is called Tool because while they were kicking around band names in their early days, it was originally "Toolshed"... But Maynard decided that a one word, one syllable name would have more of an impact. So they shortened it to Tool. However, "Descending" and "Invincible" are so far fan made titles and have not been confirmed by the band as official song titles.
"Weapon out and belly in" Not what your lyrics say... "Age old battle mind, weapon out and belly in" Again you failed... Did well on the other lyrics.. Would be refreshing if Tool fans were more intelligent. I've seen much worse with this song. I see every fail in lyric a misrepresentation to the song, a disservice to the artist. The beauty is in the lyric and the instrumental. Maynard has always answered my questions in regards to lyrics, but I do buy a lot of wine from him... ""Vic Steak and Sea""
This was before the release of the album and this audio was all that we had at the time, and I'm not even a native English speaker ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I did my best!

It's overwhelmingly perfect!!! Spiritual and so intense☝🏼
“Weapon out and belly in “ similar to chest out shoulders back
Thank You 😊👍

"Lurch into the fray...weapon out and belly in".
this really is the thirteenth step
barely in? I would argue belly in
Your correct....it's Belly in

Absofuckinglutely!!

It sounds good!
The fans were getting pissed Tool, Thank you for delivering as fuck
I believe it's "weapon out and belly in". When you suck your belly in, your chest goes out. As if to stand ready for battle. Just my $.02
8:04 this song gets real
It seems like the end of invincible is a Jambi extended intro, which they play after this song

Not barely in.
I think lyrics are incorrect? Not sure?
Stooooopid Good!
Do you think this song is about remembering a strong time in the military when he served?
What’s your take on this song?
What's this about you think
Lurch into the fray
I think it’s belly in ( like how a soldier stands)
Weapon out and belly in
Seems to me this song should be called "The Warrior"
