Philippines is the real Avatar! Both land and sea, underwater too.(Tubataha coral gardens and marine sanctuary) in Palawan as well. Palawan-the Philippines last frontier. Described by the late French explorer Jacques Cousteau as the best place he ever saw. Balabac islands in Palawan as well.
    Chairman Jerry, u delivered again!

I did the tour with then Puerto Princesa City Mayor Edward Hagedorn in 1992 when there were very few "explorers". The experience was awe inspiring to say the least. The long stretch we called the highway tunnel that ends in what looks like St. Paul's Cathedral (that's how it was called then) and those mushroom formations were simply fantastic! Palawan is so blessed with many incredible natural wonders! Mayor Hagedorn hammered what was originally called Bantay Dagat (sea rangers) and Bantay Gubat (forest rangers). As the city's consultant for technical funding affairs then, I helped look for official funding for the Bantays (rangers) to be included in the annual city budget and we moved for its inclusion in the world heritage sites so that maintenance will be done to protect this natural wonder. I'm happy that after many years, the tour has been professionalized. Thank you Mergim for the trip back down memory lane! Thanos for recapturing it for me. Absolutely loved this vlog.
