I love watching all the parts you do instinctively, even when you do the first wash it is never flat, the way you make objects look 3D even with amount of paint in the first wash is what I am struggling to learn. Because these are slower and repeated I feel like I'm learning lots about that, as well as techniques.
I really enjoyed this demo Harriet. I realised, while watching it, that I like to paint light to dark, but sometimes I get to the end and want to brighten bits up or give them more depth, so I’ll do a glaze over the top. I always enjoy how easy and fuss free you make the drawing part. Wonderful as always ❤
I'm so glad you enjoyed the demo! Painting light to dark can really bring out the depth in your work, and glazing is such a great technique to enhance those highlights. Keep experimenting and having fun with it!
I painted along and happily I ended up doing both techniques on the same painting. lol. Oh well. I liked how it turned out
