As a few other comments already said my screen turns black, as soon as I unlock it the second time. My Mac runs on the newest system update, I tried restarting it a few times and also tried a few different vids with different Screensaver. It will not work 2 times in a row, only if I click on another screensaver and then go back to the customized one.
So I'd like to know, if it works for you every time and what the problem could be. Thank you in advance.

I updated to the latest software and did everything correctly, but when I unlock my Mac it just shows a gray screen and then stops working😭 I have an M3 Pro Macbook.
FoibyYoon Bro, Try using a different video for your custom screensaver, that should work.☺️
Unfortunately, restarting it doesn't fix the problem of the wallpaper turning blank after locking the screen and logging back in. The video did say that it will take a few days for it to work properly. Is there a time frame for how long it will take/ how many restarts? It's worth noting I don't usually shut off my macbook most time, just close the screen and let it sleep.
Did it end up working properly after a few days?
click on another wallpaper, than click on the one that you have set. It should work that way.

I have my live video wallpaper as my screensaver but it's a bit blurry when the screensaver plays. Was it like that for anyone else? btw my video is in 4K but as a screensaver it's blurry
I had a similar result when i was trying it. I did a few different videos and i think the Quality and actual size of the image affects it differently. If your video is too large it might appear pixilated. Maybe research the dimensions of the screensaver live videos.

brookedelautour4750 Bro, If you have set the automatically hide and show menu bar on the desktop, you need to move your cursor to the top of the screen to show the Finder menu bar. Then, you'll see the Go menu. If it doesn’t work for you then you can also use the keyboard shortcut “Command + Shift + g” to access the Go window. This allows you to type in a location directly.☺️

SO you can't set a wallpaper and a different screenSaver ? it has to be the same "video" ?
with multiple screen you need to :
- Choose a background for your secondaryt screen (and only the second one)
- Choose a animatedBackground for your main screan, than active "use as background", the desactive "use as background"
know you have a beautifull background for your secondary screen, a black background/ something cool if you're lucky and when you lock your screen, you'r video will be played in your main screen

Unfortunately doesn't work. When copying the thumbnail name to your own video, it says this file name is already in use. Restarted and still doesn't work.
for future compute tips, read the actual debug/warning message: "File name is already in use"
you are trying to copy a file name onto another file when the name ALREADY exists, so you should either rename the file name you are trying to copy OR delete the original file
@@nathanho4584 I did that already. the original file is deleted but it still shows the same error. That’s what I meant when I said it’s not working.
try deleting the video in the trash, and delete it immediately. i faced the same problem but then it worked after i deleted it for good.

I have the MacBook Air M2 btw, and I also am currently using the newest update - macOS Sonoma (Version 14.1.2). Any ideas on how to fix it? I have the PERFECT winter themed live screensaver even with music included that I downloaded from RUclips and I'm SO upset that I can't get it to work! 🥺
