    It’s sad these kids aren’t students of the game anymore…even if you didn’t grow up watching them, some cursory research would’ve shown you the multitude of skilled players from previous eras. One thing about my 2 favorite players (MJ and Kobe), they never tore down the previous eras to boost theirs. They showed the ultimate respect to those who paved the way.

  • @Toinemc
    @Toinemc 2 месяца назад +67

    This all started with Gilbert Arenas cappin🧢 for Lebron. Gil said that MJ was the only skilled player during that time too. That no player guarding him had the same vertical as MJ. Gil said that players guarding MJ, none of them had a 40” Vertical and wasn’t as skilled as MJ.
    I guess they forgot about Penny Hardaway, Tim Hardaway, Joe Dumars, Gary Payton, Shawn Kemp, Allen Iverson, Ray Allen, T-Mac, Vince Carter, Nate Tiny Archibald, Charles Barkley, David Robinson, Hakeem the Dream, Dominque Wilkins, Clyde the Glide Drexler and many more that would easily bust yo AHH 1 vs 1. Before MJ there was Dr.J and George Gervin aka the “Ice Man”. Earl the Pearl Monroe and David Thompson. The NBA always had great skilled players. I hope Anthony Edwards grows up one day and becomes wiser with his words. If he ever gets it right he would easily become the face of the NBA. Pray for this young man yall. He’s gonna need it…

      @@Stunt877 Defense isnt better, rebounding isnt better. Just bc a C and PF can do a crossover and shoot 3s doesnt make them better they just look better. When those players get to teams with where the guards have the power they look pedestrian like James Wiseman bc they cant use those skills. The players today score more efficiently seemingly bc they use the pick n roll to score as supposed to feeding the big man. But that style isnt consistent in the playoffs and can be planned for which efficient players using that style fall off in the playoffs.when its real grown men down low "pause" its changes the game.

    The ignorance and disrespect will only get worse. These dudes think because they can do a bunch of pretty moves they're more "skilled" While it takes Ant-Man 100 dribbles to get to his spot it took Mike 2 or 3 dribbles under more duress, physicality, and less spacing. These dudes got it twisted. The players back then knew how to play the game to their advantage and were effective in doing it. These clowns today are more concerned with the optics. And they wonder why they underachieve
