So, what if your subscription has expired or your card has been damaged? Should I get rid of the decoder? Let's repurpose it instead!

Can it work when you have diseqc on the dish? How do u input frequency of 16E, after scanning successfully with astra 2E? Nice job ❤

Yes they won't: you can see something like "No CI MODULE" or "this channel belong to this decoder"

Hello sir have followed the procedures but when I scroll to the end the channels will not be there. I am using dstv S5(series 5) please confirm If this process works on all DStv decorders
Works on all; carefully go through the video again : don't skip it , listen for details
I have been able to do it for my DStv series 6 decorder but for series 5 the FTA channels have scanned but when I want to play it will say "this network does not belong to this decorder, kindly contact multi choice"

Yes it works; just any FTA on your dish. For instance 12525 v 30000 for 28e and alot others

My question : supposing I have an already existing subscription on my Dstv decoder and I want to Add FTA to it.. Is that possible? Meaning I want to add both Dstv channels and FTA channels together ..is it possible?
No because you can't diseqc the decoder
No because after adding the FTA frequency and symbol rate in the decoder, you have to go to the dish on your roof top and track the FTA hosting satellite (rotate dish position to point to the satellite hosting the FTA channels). This means you will lose the original DSTv position hence will not watch dstv channels. DSTv is on Eutelsat 36 and most FTA channels are on Intelsat 20. These two satellites are not at the same position in space.

You can't see it as a list but you could one at a time pending on the channel that you are watching on general information

Note: I didn't say you could watch Dstv channels for free but you can use Dstv decoder for free Free To Air Channels
everything works but , when decorder restart its still in no signal dialog box .... we have to search for the channel again...! is there any solution for this?
@Muhamed sarbas you just need to navigate to the channels under fta satellite you installed next time you put it on.
