The facia board resting on the roof probably contributed to rotting it?
Possibly, but I doubt. It's not resting on it, the patio awning was build on after that room was built. Just age and sun rot, bad quality wood. The corners of your fascia board are always going to be the first to rot. Mostly from rain and water/dew dripping down to corner and getting into that joint where 2 meet
Epic
Thanks cuz! 🙌👍
The drip edge was painted FLAT to the board? Making it useless?
Yeah I didn't install that 😄 was old drip didn't even have the kick out lip on the bottom I don't think
I kinda sliced my foot open but i am ok
😳😲 hope you're OK and it heals fast 🙏👍
Ahh. Balancing act.!! So dangerous Don't fall off the roof !
😆🤸♂️ that was a fun job
There are about 1000 ways to replace a fascia board....this has to be the most, creative?. 😂
Thank you 🙌👍 I thought it'd be easier than replacing that whole long run to the peak. Was probably 15-20ft. I'd have to scarf them together too
