Good morning! Those shelters are a blessing from the storm, along with all the ponds and creeks. It's been terribly hot here in Pennsylvania. Be careful with the heat. Have a great day! 🙏
Hey Jack, Ramdino who does hiker updates mentioned you because a Hiker gave him an update on your Yo Yo and was asking if you wanted to give him an update on your Hike.
I prefer boots 🥾. My ankles are weak, always have been. Those are some nice boots, pay once…cry once! Keep on charging! The videos/photos are amazing too, enjoy your dialogue too. Stay safe out there!
Looks like the weather has cleared up a bit. Beautiful day making for an awesome hike. At least the rain waited until you got to the shelter. Still loving the videos.
For my first twenty years of backpacking in the Whites we never treated our water and we never hung our food. To be honest no one did that I was aware of. It just was not a thing. I only started hanging my food the last few years and to be honest if I am alone I still sleep with it. There is a young man hiking the AT in a 100 days and he is averaging about 25 to 30 miles per day and wearing boots. If you watch the Gear Skeptic channel he gets deep into the whole boot vs running shoes debate. Running shoes are not as big as an advantage as people think. I wear them because they dry out faster and our generally more comfortable. I was a boot guy until about 2013. I never had any issues but that was before I retired and started thru hiking. Enjoy your return hike South.

12:06 Very nice.
It’ll be interesting to hear how you made out with the mice that run the shelter. 😂

A new business venture for you. Snack man!!!
❤❤❤❤❤
Maybe your should switch your trail name to Waterboy now.😂😂😂😂 BTW, what bivy do you use?
It looks like a Sea to Summit
I believe what we saw was part of his hammock setup rigged as a bivy. Not certain but believe that is the case.
