Michelle, I wanted to tell you something. When you showed your gifts for your students, you said you hope some keep them and look back on them. I was putting some stuff away in my closet last night and saw a teacher gift I still have from 4th grade...and I am 33. Our teacher took small paint cans and made a label for the outside with our school, mascot, and a nice message. The can was filled with candy and treats. They hammered the lid closed like real paint and attached a paint can opener for us to get into it. It was such a unique, thoughtful gift to me as kid, and I have hung on to it all this time.
I love the sequin jacket! I have it on my wishlist now for attending our basketball games! 😉 The pencil dispenser is a great idea. I believe it would work great in my STEAM Lab. I may challenge my students to create their own version of one with cardboard. You have given me food for thought! 🤔

How creative is that pencil dispenser! I love that for my school teammates.

Oh my goodness 😮 how competitive are you at staff morale games 😂
What do you do for teachers who don't celebrate the holiday? Just wondering because I don't think people think about that.
I would think the gifts that she made would be fine. They aren't super holiday related, and gifts are always nice.
I think people do think about that… but the gifts that I gave were all to people who celebrate Christmas.
