what are the risks of disabling the Upload Center? Will Sharepoint no longer work? I'm worried that something downstream will no longer work if I disable the UC. I put files up and down from Sharepoint all the time, and files get stuck in the UC constantly. Disabling it would be great, but not if its going to break something else.

Ken Melloy this was a fix from microsofts forums, it is safe, and can be turned back on if you do run into any issues. Cheers

It wasn't listed so I can't stop it. Have they changed how it runs? The only MS thing listed was a legitimate OneDrive task. I just got a new laptop with Win 10 and supposedly a standalone version of MS Office. It's all terribly invasive and I want to shut off all invasions I can, including this auto upload of ALL of my docs. If I want something uploaded, I put it in the OneDrive folder. I don't need MS rifling through my docs.

hey, so I just checked my task scheduler (Windows 10 all up to date), and it seems to still be a viable fix. I do see "OneDrive Standalone Update Task-S-1..." which is probably what your referring to. The Upload Center task for this video still shows up the same for me. Last time I ran the program was in 2/5/2016 (when the video was made) so it could have possibly been changed by an update through/for Upload Center. You might need to check Microsoft forums for a workaround on this if the task isn't listed in Task Scheduler. Microsoft likes to change things a lot. Hope this helps, let me know if there's anymore questions on this or can't find help. Cheers
